@anniem7689 In some areas along Colorado Blvd. (the main parade route) the crowds on the sidewalk can get really dense before and during the parade. I am not positive about this, but I think that they are probably worried that someone might accidentally lean too hard in the glass windows and either crack it or break it. There are tons of cops and security cameras all over that area before and during the parade - so I DO NOT think that anyone would even think about intentionally breaking a window ( like for looting). They would be arrested really fast if they tried it.
