Please make another video for the second series, this is my favourite mitchell and webb sound sketch, I listen to this sometimes to help get to sleep :)
This brings back vivid memories of sitting in the kitchen late at night as a child reading and my dad would have left the radio on and i dont know what it was but after a certain time they obviously changed what was put on my dads favourite channel or whatever he had on, and it'd always be quite depressing stuff about like someones life as a prostitute and the abuse they faced or some other stuff like that, always told by some sad woman. Formative for a young 7-9 year old me
I don't remember the clip of the song at the start (or any of them actually), maybe they weren't in the CD versions and were cut? Dream a Little Dream was Mama Cass Elliot, not The Eagles
@@waynemarvin5661 Apart from the fact the DJ sounds very relaxed and lazy I'm not sure, but I did like some of his rambling like "Reminds me of... something my Grandfather said... early to bed, early to rise... means you never see anyone else"
Brian this is the original as far as I know. I'm pretty sure there never was a US release of it. Plus the music is referred to in the sketches and it's all right... So I'm not sure what you remember differently?
+Laura from the States Oh yes, I'm aware this is the original. The U.S. iTunes Store sells them, I just bought series one recently. The music heard in this clip was most definitely cut from that issue. I didn't phrase myself right, I meant to say, "why couldn't my copy be untouched like this one?" I'll probably buy the UK discs someday now that I know there are edits.

How can David's sexy sad voice make you sleepy? :) I'll put some more up. Keep an eye out.

Adrian Lockett is a far more competent DJ than a lot of BBC radio Wales DJs, man alive...
If anyone knows which writer penned these, please let me know in the comments. Thanks!

Yeah, the rights clearances were probably too expensive.
You don't get the humour, do you? By the way, since it's David Mitchell in the sketch, my guess is that it was David Mitchell who wrote it.

@@grimTales1 The joke is he’s bad at his job
I think you'll find it was "Dreamy, Dreamy me" not "Dream a Little Dream". Easy mistake to make
The fall of man or the fall of Pan
God I hate getting the American releases of BBC material, all the music gets replaced! I'll have to track down the originals.
