Walking in Enkhuizen, North Holland ☀️ | NL - 4k60

Enkhuizen was one of the harbour-towns of the VOC, just like Hoorn and Amsterdam, from where overseas trade with the East Indies was conducted. In the mid-17th century, Enkhuizen was at the peak of its power and was one of the most important harbour cities in the Netherlands.

Jij was stil, maar ik werd er nog stiller van. De plek waar ik ben opgegroeid en me nu afvragend waarom ik daar in hemelsnaam niet meer woon. Enkhuizen wat ben je mooi!

Nice walk indeed. Where most tourists go and they aren’t wrong. But it’s a pity that the walk isn’t complete.
Consider next time to incorporate the townspart Boerenhoek, the Farm corner where city farms used to be.
Very picturesque with the canals and bridges.
