Yes, a religion that places rules and regulations on war, in contrast to the western secular powers who are doing a law abiding genocide (as par Israel, US etc). Yes it's not religion we need, it's more secularism and lack of belief in ultimate judgement.

@@DaveZee823 ah right, so you cite someone who isn't our Shaykh, but that means it must be true. So, the way this works is that whatever you are Christian, atheist etc. If I can find someone who may hold some authority from that group saying something against mainstream, then it must be true.

@@DaveZee823 strange response, you pick up a random scholar who stated their was holes in the Quranic history narrative. You have no clue what those holes were and how significant, as clearly the person who said it believes the Qur'an is totally preserved.
But that's beside the point, quoting a random scholar who says something which goes against mainstream narrative without having any clue what the content of that statement is, is laughable. Present the holes that Yasir Qadhi said there was, and we can look at it.
If you can't, then yes there is no debate. You are then making a totally unrelated comment on a video which you don't actually understand:). Get a life mate.

No, the majority mainstream scholarly view is that it is not permissable at all, even against an enemy combatant. Most of these permissibility views came about in the 20th century. The clear rule is that suicide is totally haram, but these scholars made exceptions, which is not supported by the textual evidence. Muslim suicide bombing is a totally modern concept anyway due to Western imperialist invasions in the 20th/21st century and can't be attributed to Islam which is over 1400 years old.
