My Hot Take: B&M needs to make more intense coasters. I believe that modern B&M post 2000 has significantly neutered the intensity of their new coasters. I miss the days when they were constantly pumping out intense inverts like Afterburn, Aplengeist, and Montu. Their hypers are great, but they feel a bit too iterative and tend to blend together for me. Their newer loopers leave a lot to be desired. They don’t deliver nearly the same level of positive Gs that their older ones do. This leaves their elements feeling copy-pasted and bland in my eyes.
1:46 I 100% agree with you and Froggy Mapping, EE is a great ride and everything you said about both are very accurate imo. 5:15 Kinda reminds me of Skyrush/WCR at HP :) My hot take: RockNRoller Coaster is overrated- people just like it because it is the "intense" coaster, only ride with inversions at Disney Orlando, and has a rock and roll theme. Personally, I think the launch is alright but the layout is rough and the second-half is slow. (I really enjoy videos like this, you did a great job making it!)
Hot take: now that Cedar Fair and Six Flags merged, lesser parks in the chain will have an even longer coaster drought(Darien Lake, Worlds Of Fun, Frontier City etc)
uhm- achhually 🤓☝️nemesis inferno is a top 1 coaster worldwide, it is smoother than hyperia while being 20 years older than it, has amazing theming on the front side, and has mist which makes my body feel nice, thus making it the best coaster ever created expect to hear from my lawyer
Nemesis reborn lovers: the inversions are whippy. The layout is intense and the theming is great! Nemesis inferno lovers: Well uhh…. The mist makes me feel nice I guess.
steel vengeance might literally be the best coaster of all time and I don't know if its ever going to be dethroned, it has speed, airtime, inversions, intensity, its essentially a perfect roller coaster, thats just my opinion though
Hot take: Mako (SWO) is mid Reasoning: first half has above-average B&M airtime but the 2nd half is a huge buzzkill; it’s to be noted that I rode this on a hot, sunny afternoon
My hot take. Coaster enthusiasts have unrealistic expectations, and are way too hypercritical of every new coaster being built. They expect every coaster to be 300’+, record breaking machines. Then are critical when there is a hint of a rattle, shimmy, or bump. Here’s an idea. Sit down. Buckle up, and enjoy the ride. Nobody cares that you rate Gwazi over Vengence both are fantastic rides. Parks build for the GP not the enthusiast. I enjoy talking coasters but analyzing ever inch of track, blemish, or imperfection then criticizing the parks and manufacturers get very old. Be happy we live in a time where new coasters are being developed and built every year.
I AGREE!!!! I was gonna make a video talking about this but never got around to it. I kinda fall victim to this as well 😅 Like, It’s a roller coaster, just HAVE FUN instead of critiquing every element. Thanks for watching :)
Hot take: Goliath at la ronde is one of the best bnm hypers and is only overlooked because its not over 200ft (i know that means technically it isnt a hyper but the layout and trains are exactly the same so i consider it a mini hyper)
Here's a hot take: Volares are good coasters. Hear me out... The pain can mostly be mitigated by positioning yourself right and the layout is very unique and quite enjoyable. If the trains were designed better, i'm sure people would genuinely like it. But as they are, finding a good position takes some experimenting which people are usually not willing to do after the first ride.
Xpress platform 13 is actually smoother somehow than the disney version. also the queue line on express is better than the entire expierience of rockin
i saw rip ride rockit run a few days ago and people were getting thrown around more than i have ever seen on a coaster it actually looked like whiplash
Nemesis inferno is a great coaster but I think just because it’s called nemesis it gets a lot of hate because it’s not as good as reborn. Petition for nemesis inferno to be renamed to inferno!
I think Iron Rattler is overrated because there are only like two good elements, and the first drop is super overrated in my opinion. Btw the three coasters in Texas I have above Iron Rattler are New Texas Giant, Wonder Woman, and Boardwalk Bullet
@@stephenboshears4832 exactly, and zooming through those rocks adds to the ride experience and makes it better. If taron was in the middle of an empty field it just wouldn’t be nearly as good. What I’m saying is theming makes a coaster better if the coaster actually interacts with its theming elements on ride, just like taron, swarm and many others do
❌️❌️❌️. Theme is king. You gotta really goof up themeing for it to not vastly improve any ride. Then again, I'm a sucker for dark rides. The Mummy is one of the best coasters ever for that reason
I actually agree with the Woodstock express and Orion one Orion is a massive disappointment it’s such a lame boring ride and nobody can change my opinion
Huge thanks to LianVR for giving me this video idea!!!
W
Yw!
Nemisis wasent rough in its last year cause i rode it in that years end
Ummm sooooo I think it’s just me on the magnum hype train lol
lol my latest video may prove you otherwise…

I think iron gwazi is rough

I agree rock n’ is overrated! Thanks for the kind words :)
I used to love Rock N Rollercoaster. But I haven’t been on it since 2017, so it might have gotten more rough than since I last went on it.
Hot take: now that Cedar Fair and Six Flags merged, lesser parks in the chain will have an even longer coaster drought(Darien Lake, Worlds Of Fun, Frontier City etc)
Capitalism and corporate monopoly’s

Oh no. Not lawyers D:
now we have 2 things to go to court about…
also it’s not a top 1 coaster worldwide that soapdeck 🤓☝️
Nemesis reborn lovers: the inversions are whippy. The layout is intense and the theming is great!
Nemesis inferno lovers: Well uhh…. The mist makes me feel nice I guess.
My hot take for a future part 2 (if there is one): Twisted Colossus is by far the best ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain, not X2
For texas, wonder woman, texas stingray, and maybe boardwalk bullet (haven't ridden that one) top iron rattler
steel vengeance might literally be the best coaster of all time and I don't know if its ever going to be dethroned, it has speed, airtime, inversions, intensity, its essentially a perfect roller coaster, thats just my opinion though

Hot take, Green lantern is a top tier B&M looper and it’s better than kumba

This is so true
No
I agree
Yoooo. I was that roller coaster kid but I just recently changed it to what it is now. Thanks a lot for featuring me in your vid!
Of course! Thanks for watching :)
@@rlcoasters I also have another hot take: The new Mack striker coaster will turn into one of the best coaster models in the world.
Hot take: Kumba is a mid B&M (because of the rattle)
hot take : iron rattler is a top 5 RMC.
Everest is def. over Guardians. Theming is unmatched. Best coaster at WDW.
Hot take: Goliath at la ronde is one of the best bnm hypers and is only overlooked because its not over 200ft (i know that means technically it isnt a hyper but the layout and trains are exactly the same so i consider it a mini hyper)
Will there be a second one? I didn’t know about this
If it's popular enough, he might.
hopefully there will be eventually
Here's a hot take:
Volares are good coasters.
I’ve ridden Fury 325 and in my opinion it’s very repetitive just with a bunch of twists and turns. Not my type of ride but still best at Carowinds.
interesting. we all have different opinions :)
I'm with you on this. It's tall and fast but it's only a few notches above a parking lot coaster
I can't wait!
Intimidator/Thunder Striker is the best B&M hyper
I’ve been on that, Dback, Goliath, and Apollo’s Chariot
Ride mako please
Nah, Shambhala is.
Xpress platform 13 is actually smoother somehow than the disney version. also the queue line on express is better than the entire expierience of rockin
If Maverick at cedar point had the heart line roll it would be rated similar to Fury and Veloccicoaster
I like rougaru. But the reason it's so mid is because of the floorless conversion. Hear me out. I do hate stand-ups. But there's one issue that all standup converted to floorless have. It's roughness. Rougaru is the best example of this. It's not designed to be a floorless. The banking and track layout isn't for a floorless train. That's why it's so rough because the while the banking is heartlined it's heartlined in terms of people standing up. Not sitting down. Same with the layout. When you make a big change with the trains for any layout that aren't anything more than the original. You get these types of problems of it being more rough and headbanging you side to side. Yes it would probably still do that as a standup cause it's also old. But I bet it would be a lot less if it was. That's why if you ever ride a floorless conversion coaster. It just doesn't track 100© right
02:05 Yes
i saw rip ride rockit run a few days ago and people were getting thrown around more than i have ever seen on a coaster it actually looked like whiplash
hot take
..
orion is a giga
There I am, Gary, there I am!!!!
Iron grazing isn’t a hyper, yeah it’s 200 feet but has inversions so it isn’t a traditional hyper
bro is the most gp person claiming to be a coaster enthusiast
facts
btw where do u edit ur vids on?
maverick > vengence
Nemesis inferno is a great coaster but I think just because it’s called nemesis it gets a lot of hate because it’s not as good as reborn.
Petition for nemesis inferno to be renamed to inferno!
i think removing “nemesis” from the name could help inferno shine in it’s own light!
I think Iron Rattler is overrated because there are only like two good elements, and the first drop is super overrated in my opinion.
Btw the three coasters in Texas I have above Iron Rattler are New Texas Giant, Wonder Woman, and Boardwalk Bullet
that makes sense. thanks for clarifying :)
Hot take: Thorpe park is better than Alton towers
Hot Take: All American Tripple Loop is the new worst coaster ever created
Hope all the Voyage haters keep spreading the hate so it's easier to get tickets to Holiwood Nights.
Theming is wildly overrated. Spamming props and scenery on a mid ride doesn’t make up for it being a mid ride *cough cough Disney*
I will say it is appreciated but not necessary. Universal does it best w/ Velocicoaster and others
When theming is used in the ride experience eg swarm or taron it makes it so much better
@@iliketrains3546Tarons “theming” is just fake rocks

Orion is a giga wdym…
I actually agree with the Woodstock express and Orion one Orion is a massive disappointment it’s such a lame boring ride and nobody can change my opinion
My hot take magnum is the worst coaster at cedar point
Velocicoaster sucks
Voyage is really rough, it doesn't have airtime, and the layout is overated.
Legend is so much better than voyage
