That’s an interesting concept Matt. Thanks so much 👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Another great video Matt.
Many thanks Adam!
Great lesson. I think it was good that you stayed focused on the point of the lesson. Great food for thought.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for this Matt. Subbed.
Glad to have you aboard and so glad you found it helpful! Cheers!
I've never understood why one would go through all the 'extra steps" of thinking about upper structure that way (i.e. what's the 3rd, what type of chord is built off that 3rd, etc, etc.) when you could just think "ok, I'm going to lean into the 9th/7th/whatever. Until now. You explained that beautifully! Total lightbulb moment. I get it now! Can't thank you enough for these videos. Will have to hit you up for some private lessons once my schedule clears up. Cheers! 👍
Ah man so glad to hear it helped! Happy practicing and hopefully we can connect for some lessons down the line!
I'll go and mess around with this, giving it a try. The minor concept reminds me of the relative minor (after all the relative minor of c is a minor), So no surprise there. But the major concept is something that might bring something new for me. Playing c flat minor over a A is something I would not normally do.
Tiny correction that it would be C Sharp minor not flat, but yes! It’s a new way to approach major chords for sure!
What are you using to get the sustainer effect here? Thanks!
It's the poly sustain pedal in the Line 6 HX Stomp which is mimicking the Electro Harmonix Freeze pedal!
@@mattfranceschini thanks Matt
