Who in their right mind would dislike this video.
29 people
+Str00p w4f3l probs those on 29ers
+Kang Jiyoung im pretty sure matt is on a 29er in this video
+Jordan Scott haha its just a joke cause the number of dislikes was 29 so i just came up with it
this is a perfect video.
7 years later, and this video never gets old. In fact, this very video got me mountain biking. I now own a Rockhopper 2019 that I bring out for when I'm in the mood for XC.
I was just going to ask who still rewatches old Matt Hunter videos. I always liked this one and still love this song too.
So true. I’ve watched this video like everyday and dreamed to travel with a mtb.
I'm just like you.
But I finally came to Fujimi.
Rich, loamy soil. Tires at the perfect pressure, biting in and holding on like a Pit Bull. Trees like spectators holding out their arms, rooting for you (but nary a root in sight to upend you). Ideal conditions, epic ride. Those memories, man.
nice writing
These are soul rides...
Right now, 74 losers
Still one of my all time favourite videos.
Those trails are amazing. Such smooth flow and great aesthetics. Japan rocks
Thank you for sharing these wonderful people and trails! My family lived in Aomori Prefecture (Norhern Japan) for 4 years and I fell in love with both as I pedaled my then-new Rans V-Rex, my road bike and my Schwann S-15 Carbon dual-suspension machine around the roads and trails. I returned this Spring after 11 years away and the love is as strong as ever. Please keep these videos coming! - Tom in Alaska
i keep watching this everytime i go online.. can't move on without seeing this video
That drop at 2:08...holy wow...they make it look effortless!
Those trails looks like UCSC trails with a lil bit of flow trails thrown in. Isaac you gotta try Sweetness, Magic Carpet and Airborne
The guy setting up the soundtrack for this vid and the whole "Trail hunter" & "Destination Trail" series is spot on... what MTB is all about. Nothing worse than a good vid with an overly high paced soundtrack.
You sure about that? Watch Saturn III Fu Manchu footage to mountain biking. Nothing wrong with louder or faster music
Still watching in 2022!! Used to work at a bike shop and we’d play these videos on our TVs. Rad!!
4 years later, I'm rocking that exact Stumpjumper Evo. :)
so good to see mtb videos in normal, realtime speed, rather than 90% of it being slo-mo. really gives you a sense of how much of a badass jinya is on that hardtail.
That's an epic trail. What is the actual length of it. The people of japan are, so great, so polite, so welcoming, there is no words can describe this...
can u see how jinya and his hardtalis can keep up with matt? sick!
+Kemal Mahisa dude was thinking the same thing, straight samurai!
Fantastic video. There's really nothing better in this world than bringing your bike to a new trail and get surprised by how good it is to ride.
Japan has lots of awesome riding places
i wish i could ride like that. it feels like i can, then i look at the videos my friends take and i just delete them.
All about the feeling!
Dominik Neuffer
sultanabran1 Keep riding for the Enjoyment, the rest may Fallow.. :)
a lot has to do with the editing they ride fast no doubt but they have so much more rescources then the average Joe it's thiere job to Make it look cool and they do a damn good job at it
+sultanabran1 so much yes.
Man...where do I begin? To be accepted and respected by locals, immersed in nature and place where the culture remains virtually uncompromised sharing old friends, making new ones all bound by a passion mtb biking then coupled with the love for finding and shredding amazing trails. What an experience (of a lifetime). One would find it very difficult to top. Great video! Thank you for sharing.
I got into cycling through mountain biking, I then switched to road bikes and never looked back.
However, I'm now going to give the mountain bike a service as soon as I hit "POST".
Inspirational video!
You turned to the dark side, there is no way back.
Great video!!!!!!!!!! What an experience.. beautiful Japan!!
Japan and trail riding. Awesome.
That looked like a Sick ride !! F- en , awesome!!! Wish I was there ...
How about that dude freaking ripping on the hard tail. \m/
chromag stylus I think , I use to have an hardtail too but I switched to a full suspension bike, because I leave in a very rocky area, but I ' d realy like to retake an hardtail,
@@slivzzz No need for a rear shock on these trails.
Wow, looks like a mind-blowing trail I would love to ride!
I wish I had the ability/finance's to be able to see the world and ride Bikes all of the Time, that would be the dream for me.. but at the Time I'm struggling just to make it by and trying to get/afford a New Bike is quite difficult at the Time. stay in school Kids.... lol idk.
As soon I as I heard the music of Heartless Bastards I knew I was going to like this video. I can't even imagine riding my hardtail down these trails.
Awesome video, although there is no prefecture called Minami. Since they're close to Mt. Fuji, I'm going to guess they are in the southern Alps, Minami Alps in Yamanashi prefecture.
Exploring all the amazing things this world has to offer on a mt bike is in my opinion the ultimate dream! Gawd damn im so jelly!!
Had my evo over 6 years and still smile every time I hop on.
El tramo a partir del min. 3:40 es impresionante!!! FLOW en estado puro.
lots of fun and beauty trail
Cinematography is so top notch
2024 y aún me motivo con este video
I ended up here after looking into pump tracks for BMX. What a great video! I noticed a lot of people asking where this place is......I've found it for you but I can't put weblinks up, can I? So please search for "summer fujiten" (should be the top hit) then scroll down the screen and click the mountain bike hexagon pic. You'll see the English in one of the pics for "Matty's Loops". This place is in Yamanashi Prefecture, not too far east of Tokyo. edit: Sorry, WEST not east of Tokyo.... :)
2 my fav rider: matt & jinya...!!! shred those trails!!!
Quite possibly the best one ive seen. Watched twice
666th like from me :) one of the best mtb videos i ever seen. music so perfect. love

Beautiful place, nice trail!!!
I thought the beginning was speed up haha
The Dream Trail! Damn, Arigato Japan, I'll be there someday!
Man this is my type of trail no steep drop offs no loose rocks just pure speed and berms and dirt. Nice shred!
Esto es hermoso...
That's just all it's about! Biking I love it!! And now i go for a ride!!! :)
Hi, I have been riding mtb enduro bikes for the last 14 years now. I have bought bikes from different manufacturers (Trek, Santa Cruz, YT). My latest purchase is the Specialized e-mtb Turbo Comp with an aluminum frame. First, the bike's quality/price ratio is probably one of the worst, if not the worst, in the market today... a very high price for the bike's poor-quality components. Secondly, their customer support is "WORTHLESS" -it looks like people there are trained to reject claims! I say this because their answers show poor thought answers!
Some of the problems with my bike:
1) I had to change the original front and rear tires after a few rides... The tubeless tire sealants were licking all over.
2) Within a year, the rear wheel hub collapsed... I had to buy a new one.
3) The latest one is that the whole frame shows a severe corrosion problem. It is growing all over it at an incredible speed.
MY HUMBLE ADVICE... Run away from Specialized bikes. There are many good bikes out there with better customer support services!
That kid can shred!! Keeping up with Matt on a hard tail
the bright yellow bike is a hard tail. RAD!
I don't know much about bikes. I do enjoy this video, though, can you tell me what a hardtail is and why it's different to the other bike?
Johnny Felcher hard-tail doesn't have rear suspension. it takes a lot more physical strength to ride.
Sickness really enjoyed the music
Todos queremos ser como Matt Hunter...
Awesome guys, wishes from dubai
That actually looks like a very fun trail!!
Parabéns mandam muito bem!
Brasil - Crato - Ceará

いつか行ってみたい場所ですねぇ
The long bends, the curves, wow.
Awesome vid and place.

Beautifully filmed! Ahhhh love it

Where exactly is this place ???
I’m living in Japan and this is a bucket list high end dream

Sweet trails !
Hey, Specialized Bicycles, how can I find the last trail in this video? Might be heading to Japan soon.
Minami means south, so could be anywhere
so do these guys scream down these trails sight unseen or do they do any practice runs to get to know the terrain? I couldn't imagine going down that fast without eating a tree or something.
what is the name of the bright yellow hardtail?
Chromag Stylus. :)
that hardtail though. :)
I think its Jinya. suer ossom HT rider

I feel bad for whoever set up the cable cams for those forest shots. But sick video!
Does anyone have suggestions on places to mountain bike in Japan, specifically in Hokkaido?

There's something about riding natural trails that beats any bike park hands down...

Nice vídeo!
That's the real dream, Being a World Rider. ♥
i like the guy on the neon hardtail
カッコいい〜🐣
Awesome trail
how could they shoot in the forest like that? do they filmed it also on a bike with glide cam? or camera sliders? im so curious
I am not sure if I remember correctly, but I think they did it with a cable cam. Not totally sure but I think I read it somewhere. To me cable cam makes the most sense though.
o japinha tambem e fera tinha que mostra a trilha em 3 d ia ser viagem pura
wish i was there
The video quality is excellent ! What type of camera you use ?
