The first dp video I had ever seen was rocket battle 2! The rocket battles are the best! I was also in model rocketry too, only in small stuff but i can understand how much effort goes into making videos with rockets of these size.
Yeah I wanted an exact number but DANG it didnt just have height but it had SPEED and POWER! By power I mean how hard it destroyed the drone at like 100MPH.

@@randydueck6870 there is some very strict licensing processes you have to go through to be able to make and fly rockets of these size iirc… it is very unlikely that they have these licenses so there is probably a team they have that are licensed for these kind of launches.

@pouu ktin so rocket battle one, it was couples hundred ft, rocket battle 2 couple thousand, rocket battle 3 well over couple thousand so by the time we get to rocket battle 8 will it be "the rocket that reaches the farthest planet wins"?
Believe it or not, making rockets is a LOT cheaper than you might think. Depending on what you use for fuel and body ofc. But there's been people building sugar rockets inside PVC tubes that have gone veeeeeeeeery high. The fuel consists of fine sugar, KNO3 (in a 35/64% ratio) and 1% iron oxide (optional). You can melt that with some water and shove into a PVC-tube with water puddy on both ends as a sealant and you have yourself a rocket. I've built some small ones that still went several hundred feet, and I believe I paid about $5 each.)

Yes Garett one just flew straight to the space with so much power and accuracy, but it seemed Garett didnt want to go in space for some reason. I think they all should go in space in one moment to experience it with eachother and do trickshots in space.

Are you aware that they haven't build those rockets ? Nor did they build the previous ones, and I would venture to say they haven't even built the very first rockets. It's really time consuming and requires tools and skills that aren't that easy to have

The fact these rockets were going over 5,000 feet is incredible I’d love to see another rocket video where they go at least 10,000 cause that would be EPIC!
@@raineob4996 These rockets already have processes to go through: They are at least using Level 2 Certification level HPR motors to get these behemoths into the sky, which is probably provided by those who made the rockets. They likely had to get some sort of approval from the FAA to fly these, probably entailing where the site of launch is as well as simulations of rocket behavior using programs like OpenRocket. They should be okay to go bigger, the biggest hurdle is going above 18,000 ft, it adds an extra step in filing for approval that takes a long time. Not only that, but the costs, manpower for the operation, etc, only exponentially increase as you go up.
I really thought that they couldn't take this any further and that they couldn't go any bigger, but they did. They went above and beyond, and I was excited to see the series continue.
If they’re operating under the regulatory scheme I think they are, and are willing to spend the money, and improve their build quality enough to get FAA approval then theoretically they can launch S motors. Which have 327,680Ns of impulse or about 30x the impulse of the ones in this video. Or put another way, enough to go higher than the Blue Origin rocket they were competing to ride in this video.

He’s going up on a suborbital rocket called New Shepard, you might have heard of it. It’s made by Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin, mainly used for space tourism, requires minimal training, and has a perfect track record to this day. Coby should be pretty safe in their hands :)

Are you aware that they haven't build those rockets ? Nor did they build the previous ones, and I would venture to say they haven't even built the very first rockets. It's really time consuming and requires tools and skills that aren't that easy to have

@V he was clearly implying it. Otherwise, there's nothing very impressive. There are dozens of high power rocket launches every month, with much higher altitude and much more _stable_ flights. Here, they simply said what they roughly wanted to look like and then pressed a buttom

They are at least using Level 2 Certification level HPR motors to get these behemoths into the sky, which is probably provided by those who made the rockets.
They likely had to get some sort of approval from the FAA to fly these, probably entailing where the site of launch is as well as simulations of rocket behavior using programs like OpenRocket.
They should be okay to go bigger, the biggest hurdle is going above 18,000 ft, it adds an extra step in filing for approval that takes a long time. Not only that, but the costs, manpower for the operation, etc, only exponentially increase as you go up.
They should use RP-1 to get higher
I really thought that they couldn't take this any further and that they couldn't go any bigger, but they did. They went above and beyond, and I was excited to see the series continue.

If they’re operating under the regulatory scheme I think they are, and are willing to spend the money, and improve their build quality enough to get FAA approval then theoretically they can launch S motors. Which have 327,680Ns of impulse or about 30x the impulse of the ones in this video. Or put another way, enough to go higher than the Blue Origin rocket they were competing to ride in this video.

He’s going up on a suborbital rocket called New Shepard, you might have heard of it. It’s made by Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin, mainly used for space tourism, requires minimal training, and has a perfect track record to this day. Coby should be pretty safe in their hands :)
