Sincerely thankful for loving my mix these days! I got a new live mix thanks to @scrradio, you can check it out with the link down below Prepared some OCT colors with filthy basslines as well! ruclips.net/user/livejo3NARH-q64?si=UPQmFhVbOmUdfWFB
As a Japanese electronic music producer, I can say that the Garages created by Japanese artists have unique characteristics compared to the authentic British Garages Although the rhythm and bass tone are not much different, Japanese Garages are more energetic and have something in common with the bright tunes of J-pop songs On the other hand, British Garage's vocals are in English, and their music has a nostalgic atmosphere that reminds me of the late 90s and early 00s Anyway, this mix makes me want to create UKG again Thank you😊
Very well described. Just like J-Pop, it seems like there are quite a bit more jazz-oriernted foundations in the chord progressions than in British Garage, which seems to lend itself, if anything, more to RnB and dub-oriented inspirations.
what the fneoguebg is this mix?!?!?!?! This is fire!!!!!! I always work with ukg mixes in the background, but i get distracted every 3 mins with this one cause it's so good!!!
As a music producer myself, I have no idea how Japanese producers keep using so many manic chord progressions. Like, I know my understanding of music theory is wack, but damn. It's nice to listen to, though, so thanks for this compilation. A nice change of peace from the average UK Garage. But alas, there's no need to compare, only to enjoy music. Peace out.
fr tho I really admire their style and as much as I try to mimic the sounds I learn that this is just pure genius I found out that majority of the chord stabs are inspired by jazz progressions, so you should prb check it out!!
Figured out the trick tho! Lots of these chord progressions dont come back to 1! You can start with the royal road progression (4563), and sub in different chords as needed!

I just looked up "how to city pop" and watched the first 5 vids!
The easiest way to make wild and creative music is to NEVER learn music theory. It teaches you how to be simple and predictable
