I live in San Antonio and during my pregnancies I was told by my beloved Mom and grandmother to wear a key with a safety pin in front of my belly on my panties, but I got to wear it all the time because if the weather would get bad with thunder I was already wearing my key. Yeah my kids and my spouse all took the day off of school/work because of the eclipse. We closed all our windows and waited for it to pass then we opened the curtains. We did stuff the native traditional ways, tried to stay as sacred as we could by not sleeping, eating, drinking, or doing anything. We were going to send our kids to school and they were about to fallow the rules we wanted but last min we decided to not let them go because we felt like somewhere they might accidentally see it. So we locked ourselves in the master bedroom where the sun don’t shine in to much. After it passed we opened all the curtains and made dinner. One thing I think I should have done was air the home out but didn’t.
My Husband and I kept our son home yesterday. We're not superstitious, but I did think that it is funny that the elementary school across the street screamed when the eclipse happened. It was really cool to see and I'm glad that your family are doing well.

Sadly I lost my pregnancy at 6ish weeks gestation. I did find out it was a girl through a DNA test so I did get to name her ❤ I wish you a very healthy pregnancy and baby. Candice you are going through the same symptoms that I did when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I am NOT into hot or spicy food. But, with my 2nd pregnancy it was the other way around for 9 MONTHS. Everything had to be super spicy and yes I went through an eclipse during my pregnancy and yes I wore red.
