I KNOW not all Hispanics are considered coloured/ a lot are considered white, black, mixed, etc but in AMERICA, and in HOLLYWOOD, she is considered a POC. If people were to see her on TV, they would automatically think of her as a person of colour. It's not exactly right, but Hollywood is messed up like that. People like Gina have to work extra hard to get recognition, WHICH IS WHAT SHE MENTIONED IN HER SPEECH. She IS a representative for young people of colour, whether is her technical lineage or not, and if she recognizes/embraces that, than that's all there is to it.

I definitely appreciate you explaining it, because I don't know much about the topic (I know I made it seem like I did/ I was being very ignorant). I definitely don't want to be ignorant about it anymore, so it's nice having people explain to me when to use certain terms. I think I was just heated because one of the users also in this thread (whom I have deleted his comments) was being really ignorant (and a white supremist) and trying to make me seem racist for calling Gina a person of colour. I didn't mean to lash out at you, ha ha. I'm just so happy for Gina because she represents some of the diversity that we need on TV! Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for what you've taught me. :)

For the target audience, it might be ok that she forgot to thank them, but generally its the fans that you apps be acknowledged abs thanked also. :) And thode comparing her to America Ferrera, if you've seen Gina's other talents, toys know she is so multifaceted and now than just a triple threat. This is one celeb i could just get behind not just sexually but im soo happy for it .I caught one of the episodes from her new show realized it wasn't for me but it was good to see her out there doing that .I followed her since filly brown which i thought was pretty good .She's just one of those people you want to see succeed she's like and underdog she's the real deal .
