I see the walls are built of the most premium material to withstand exploding bloater gas and weapon fire but not zombie scratches, lol

they should have made the walls look like they are made of random pieces of wood & some other trash, like the walls of some of the bases in the campaign look.
Those walls look like metal and blocks of concrete, no zombie minus the fatass and the feral are going beyond them.

The way you switched your guns while executing the jugg was actually wild af, i had to rewind a few times. Never in my life did i know/realize you could do that. I was a huge sod1 fan all the eay through and played sod2 on release but had to stop within a week due to life. Few years later im finally at a place where i can sit down and do some grinding and your videos are EXTREMELY helpful. Much thanks to you good fellow
Currently working on an updated Daybreak guide. Played 50+ solo daybreaks in the last 30 days to refine the strategy to perfection. It will help you win solo Daybreaks 100% of the time!
Done this twice after studying this video - both successes! Had some close calls, but didn't take long to get the CLEO Battle Rifle, which makes this even easier. Hardest part is honestly inventory management.
Opening your inventory to switch guns during the juggernaut kill animation. Big brain move.

Excellent video! This will help a lot of people with Daybreak.
I think the hardest Daybreak scenario I’ve found is when there’s three players (so no AI defending the wall) and there are two players who don’t have CLEO weapons yet (so it’s hard to deal with the upscaled amount of standard zombies and Juggernauts).
If I hop into multiplayer I always bring a CLEO Heavy Sniper just to be the Juggernaut remover, and then on wave 4+ I’ll keep the CLEO Pistol handy to save ammo when shooting bloaters. I leave all the explosives and other types of ammo to my newer teammates, and if I’m fully stocked on CLEO ammo at the start I can normally make it last the rest of the game (so when drop time comes, I can be on repair duty while everyone else gets the drops and the incoming CLEO ammunition).
I know making a guide on how to win Daybreak with random players would have varied results and be difficult to record, but there’s simply my two cents on what I’ve found works with multiple new, random players.
when I started paying daybreak. I thought its impossible to solo it and due to my torrent version I cant have multiplayer. I was about to give up and then I saw your videos. and damn now my every 4 out of 5 daybreak runs result in a complete success. thank you so much for this and all of the previous videos. love from INDIA.

Holy cow dude, that minefield placement in the grass on wave 7 is what helped you the most. Super underrated. You basically had the opportunity to pick apart each Juggernaut individually while the rest of the wave was being blown up in the field. I was wondering why you had a couple pause moments of quite in Wave 7.
Each wave will have several mini waves. Zombies will not just be continuously spawning in Daybreaks..

@@StateofDecayScience I followed your guide to a T. Started with melee and the Wolverine, saved Stormbringer for Juggernauts, and used Remote Grenades. This was a huge help in getting the job done consistently. Thanks for posting the whole run, too, instead of segmenting it to show it can be done.
I'll have to try this I stopped daybreak because of trolls and nobody to play this mode with I'm wanting a few more red talon operators for my new trouble community😊

I find after beating the 5th wave daybreak gets way easier so if people can consistently get past the first 5 waves they should win 9 times out of ten this vid will help a lot of people
The main reason people lose in 5th wave is because they use all the available resources before wave 5. So in wave 5, they will have nothing to defend themselves.
Wave 6 is the hardest. But since we get exceptional items from the supply drops for wave 6, we can get past it easily.
In solo Daybreak, we don't need to save anything for wave 6&7. But we can only get past wave 5 if we save explosives from the beginning.

Always had trouble in daybreak in single player and multiplayer. This is great though! Those ferals were annoying and the juggs with the bloaters being slow though.

I'm struggling with it specially because i hadn't got only hordebreaker npcs yet :( i keep logging out but its always: hordebreaker gun in one npc and the rtx in the other one... so its very frustrating when im passing through the rtx npc ans he isn't doing shit 😑😪... I have learnt alot from this video.
I tried a couple of solo daybreaks few weeks ago. The difficulty stays the same. It is just insanely hard without CLEO guns.
We need "RTX 3090" minigun in to this game.
Love your guides. But you forgot to include tip that military zombies can be headshotted in the 7th wave in this one. :D
That tip was included in the Pro guide.
But didn't include that tip in this guide because this is a "no CLEO" guide.
And not just 7th wave, but we can headshot armored zombies from 6th wave itself with CLEO guns. And this only applies to solo Daybreaks not co-op.

when playing with humans the cleo battle rifle is all i need to tank the entire left side solo the others can have the right side
I liked that you clearly made some mistakes in the video, which shows your strategy has enough margin for error that even us casuals have a solid chance at it.

@@StateofDecayScience I think he's talking about missed shots and executions, and spots where you got stuck for a second and hit a few times. It's a compliment, he's saying your strategy is good enough that you don't have to play with perfect aim and not miss any grabs

Play until you unlock CLEO shotgun/blast rifle. They will make Daybreaks easier.

I have some questions though, what is the bomb that explode multiple times? I find it really powerful to kill a Fuckernaught to be honest.
And also, the more I play, the more weapons I can unlock to play on both Main game and Daybreak right? Just curious boss, just started playing a week ago.
P.S. You already deploy the mines. Perhaps you mean "Once you deploy them, dont detonate them just yet"
1. The multi explosive bomb is Remote Rocket pod. I used that one in my Pro Daybreak guide. Check that one as well in my channel if you haven't already.
2. First you will only unlock the weapons for Daybreak. The more you play, you will unlock those weapons for Campaign.
3. I only planted the deployable minefields. Didn't deploy(detonate) them. Deploying them in the emergency situations will save us from the breach.
I just let the zombies knock down the broken barricade on the first round cause when you repair it afterward it becomes full health. So you save like 15% of a wall repair kit which is like nothing but it makes me feel better, lol.
Hey mate, can you make a serie of full gameplay completing history mode ? I want to learn about your gameplay, about your make base decision, everything. Ty mate. Psd: I tried to stealth kill ferals and i get rekt xd. I dunno if they patched that, confirm me that pls.
The Ferals can still be stealth killed. But it requires a lot of pre work. So not really worth our time. Try to stealth a Jugg first. That is easy and fun too.
And also sorry to disappoint you :( I am only planning to upload short interesting clips, tips&tricks and guides. Gameplay series won't fit well into this channel.
Most of the time, my bots spawn with dou shotguns or either one of them with the rifle and the other with the shotgun. How often do you get both operators with the rifle and shotgun? I enjoyed the very in depth guide of yours
The probability for getting both NPCs having Rifle is 1/4.
It is totally RNG. Sometimes, you will get them often. Sometimes they keep coming with shotguns.
If you have not won any solo Daybreaks before, I recommend you to play solo Daybreaks only when both have rifles. Because you need all the extra support you can get.
But if you had won any, you won't need the NPC assistance. Because you will have some basic understanding of what to do. It is all about strategy.

To be honest, beating the 3 or 4 player Daybreak in solo is impossible.

@@nadie5277 Yes. If bots can repair the walls when they are damaged, I will be able to solo a 4 man Daybreak.
@@StateofDecayScience Im able to Finish Daybreak entirely in solo, everytime. And rather with the NPC's AI companions than with the stupid players that can't even use the Dodge move properly. People are so stupid that it hurts. I absolutely mastered the Daybreak, and now its nothing to me and I even like that mode more than at the very starts. I just dont like that Its happening on the same map every damn time. They could add a few other similar bases in different environment that you could defend. But, thats just my opinion. Other than that, I love State of Decay.
Do the guns from the NPCs block you from getting the no guns till third wave achievement?
No. They can shoot. Only we are not allowed to use guns in the first 3.
How many times do you need to do this to unlock red talon contractors/prefabs? Man this game mode seems intimidating.

You have to win 15+ Daybreaks to unlock prefabs. Or getting past wave 5 20+ times to unlock them
How do you swap weapons without going into inventory?
Also, how do you unload ammo from the gun?
I always swapped the weapons by opening my inventory.
You can unload guns by holding Y (controller).
I noticed you wrote the smg is important but not for shooting. Im confused on why you even pick it up since I didn’t see you use it?
Edit: I saw where the note that says it holds 128 ammo my bad. 😂

I beat daybreak with a combat knife today took a few tries and some time and planning but in the end it was worth it
Juggs were hard
17th attempt and still can't get past wave 5 even with this helpful guide. The AI keep defending a side with no enemies and completely ignoring the 10 zombies bashing down the walls on the other side. If both the AI's would stand ontop of each ramp and f-ing stay there they might actually be useful. I have no idea how they expect you to actually finish one of these without grinding atleast 50+ times so you get some semi decent weapons. 500ish prestige each time is too much of a grind. Not to mention the 2-5 restart each time for the hordebreakers

@@StateofDecayScience Oh yah i was watching both and commented on wrong video lol. The problem i'm facing at wave 5 is the double juggernauts with a flood of 15-20 normal zombies at the same time. Either i take out the jug at one end and watch 10 zombies breaking my wall at the other end or kill the zombs and watch the jug break my wall in a couple of hits. I'll give it another try but it might come down to randomness and i just got unlucky
@@StateofDecayScience Yah it's not working. At the 5th wave when the first jug spawn i focus on taking down the 20ish normal zombies but 20 more spawn immediately after. If i'm lucky i can take down the first jug but by then my walls are filled with zombies and when the next spawn the walls fall in a few seconds. There's no way. I don't know why my game behaves so much different then yours and the zombie amounts seem so much bigger. I'm done trying. This is one part of the game that i'll never unlock. Doing it on PC btw
You should show us how to beat a solo/public online horde so we can know how to win with randoms lol
If you wanna win with randoms all the time, you should play with communication.
Or you should have someone modding in your team.
Even if one of your team mates is a great player and the other 3 played without any co-ordination, it is hard to win that game.
So solo is better than playing with randoms.
Besides, I do have a co-op guide in my channel. We 3 of us played with communication and we had specific roles and specific sides to defend.
There are 3 other npcs, not 2 so I assume you need to make sure all 3 have stormbringers?
Also, I have watched it twice now. The video is about how to do it without cleo weapons. Is the cleo shotgun available to everyone for the last round. If not, perhaps you could show us how easy or difficult it is to do the last round without a cleo weapon. Nevermind. I guess if the information got you that far, you will figure it out. Thanks!

in multiplayer they just keep hoarding everything up even if they dont use it. worse, they waste it with full auto blasting normal zombies
when cleo drops arrive, i drop my full stack ammos to get more, when i come back, they looted it and waste those also

I highly recommend one person to have CLEO heavy sniper in a 3 or 4 player Daybreaks.
3 and 4 player Daybreaks will be hard without CLEO because of increased zombie population but not increased resources.

If you have unlocked CLEO blast rifle, that strategy will work better. If you unlocked nothing, you need this.

You must turn off matchmaking in multiplayer settings while inside Daybreak..

Wave 4 is hardest without using explosives for me. And if I survive it I have to repair every wall and I run out of time and the next wave is history.
With this strat, you can get past wave 4 without any breaches. Also take a look at my Pro Daybreak guide. Will be useful if you have unlocked CLEO Guns.

I managed to do it on my very first try after seeing your vid barely i had completely ran out of ammo at the last wave with only 2 jugs left my last hope was my melee and the ai but managed to keep the jugs from killing the technician
Yup.. there's no need to kill them.. just survive till the timer

The reason is at 4:10
Usually my walls fall on the last wave cause I get all the juggs at once but I still survive
But still 7th wave is always easier than 5th and 6th waves.

One thing I noticed #RVidD is when you utilize the #WolverineShotgun (as with Cleo too), you’re aiming slightly upward from the Zeds head.
Does this give you more Headshots?
For when I’m aiming at them, the shotgun blows off limbs and such, but I’m having to sometimes double back to finish them off! Annoying!
You don’t have that issue for you’re a “1-Shot 1-Kill” when you shotgun them… As in the famous words from #DenzelWashington in the film #TrainingDay… “You know I’m surgical with this B****h Jake”. (talking about his shotgun… Lol).
So you don’t utilize any aim assist?
Or you just practiced alot to get that great with the #ShotgunHeadshots?
No aim assists/aim bots. Maybe it is just the experience from too many solo Daybreaks.
I am just noticing how I use shotguns after you mentioned. It feels so normal to me. I will try to aim the center of the shotgun crosshair to their heads.

Even without any CLEO, I didn't even break a sweat in the first 4 waves. No breaches in the first 4 anyway. With randoms, they will be breaches.

The CLEO shotgun is from supply drop. Not a starter weapon.
I can’t even fuckin make it, i don’t even fuckin understand how the fuck i can get through the fuckin 5th round, i do everything good, 2 npc carrying the gun you told so, it’s fuckin annoying
i have the exact same problem. His npcs seem like killing machines, clearing almost all Zeds and he has to put down single Zeds between walls while my dudes with hirdebreakers are standing both on the same side of the wall on a spot where they can barely see anything, killing 1 in 15 Zeds at most and meanwhile im running my ass of because there are permanently 4-5 Zeds chewing on my walls while my npcs are afking and i have to kill all of them by my own, which works fine until a juggernaut comes.

You have to check that visually! You cannot access NPC inventory. Otherwide we would give them OP guns!
