Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational: Noosa 2013

We made our way to "The Lucky Country", Australia for the seventh Duct Tape Invitational. Noosa was the the perfect setting for the contest to go down, perfect conditions for longboarding made for some amazing surfing. In the end Noosa local Harrison Roach took it out for the second year running. Check out the highlights here, there's plenty of them. I think a new move is necessary for the soul surf atmosphere. I love it.
It's where many are trying to hang a five or more when the wave really isn't up to it. For me simply moving up on the board with your toes in around a foot from the nose, not trying to hang five but standing with your feet somewhat together riding the very sweet spot many longboards can give you in that position. It's like your not trying to push it. You find that forward sweet spot and then ride it as long as possible. Sometimes a minute + at the right breaks Malibu and other fine point breaks around the coast.
I find this the most spiritual of all positions.

Hello my name is Edward Williams i use to just short board and Joel Tudor you have opened up my eyes its not always about catching the biggest wave and pulling the biggest Arial its about having fun and getting wet when ever you can. Also you tough me how to pick the right board for the right conditions thank you
