@@TheBallWithTheShield I am personally not a huge fan of Kanto. Gen 1 was creepy to me as a kid due to the high pitched 8-bit music and some of the sprites were weird especially in battle. Leaf Green was actually my first pokemon game and I enjoyed it a lot. But Kanto keeps on being referenced now/overhyped in the later gens and I am just tired of it now haha. So I like it somewhat, but overall it's just bland to me and probably my least favorite region due to seeing so many references to it in the later games.

Oh man, there's something about route 29 that just hit me so hard. I remember playing Gold/Silver/Crystal on a bad ROM emulator on our Windows 98 computer as a kid. The joy it brought me was indescribable. Then there's route 101. Pokemon Sapphire was the first game that I owned on my Gameboy Advance, and my first video game full stop. It got me through some really hard times as a kid, and I always tear up when I hear it. ❤️
Gotta love it when black and white 2 have a memorable song for every season and x and y has a song no one can remember because route one is like 5 steps long.

Why is the the RBY Route 1 theme so nostalgic to me... My first game was Emerald and my favorite for a long time was SoulSilver, I hadn't touched Gen 1 until this year when I decided to get Yellow on 3DS Virtual Console! But man, all of these just... they feel like _home_ for reasons I can't quite explain.

Platinum was my first, but Heartgold will always have first place in my heart. It was the first one I beat, whereas I never got to the Final Four before I lost my platinum cartridge. I played that so much, even after I got Black and started to beat that, I always went back to HeartGold. There's something about Rt 29 that just feels like home to me.

"Route 1" is probably, like, the one song from Galar that I actually enjoyed listening to. Definitely one of the best songs from a game I otherwise don't care about that much. For me, the actual best one of these is Route 19 from Black 2 & White 2, especially as I have fond memories of getting my first random Shiny while messing around there back in 2013.
