Besides Psycho's muffled screams, the best thing in-game voice has given us is Insym trying to outrun the three clown horns chasing him.
The run animation makes the exaggerated screams a level of comical I wasn't ready for.
I love this game but 50% of the time Insym's like "did you see the monster down that dimly lit hallway?" i'm like "nope. i saw nothing" 😥 I wanna see the cool monster!

Usually you need to watch it at the max rez available to see the video clearly. But sometimes the recording is different from what the Insym sees.
@@UnknownMan98 It's more about bitrate, color depth, color spaces, and compression than it is about resolution. 1080p should be plenty to see anything clearly(and indeed, I can see everything clearly), but even though I'm watching at full 12 bit color in the RGB color space with full quantization range... I couldn't see the monster at the point he was talking about either.

I wonder if they'll add a mimic enemy, or if there will be one
mimic enemy that can utilize peoples voice would be interesting. Hard to make it balanced for gameplay, but would still be eerie if a person repeats something he said minutes ago
I was thinking about that while watching, would be very cool and reminiscent of SCP-939.
A enemy with a soundboard that records the latest three voices spoken and runs around at the edge of the scan

Have it play audio clips of people - in the event that you’re not using proximity chat, it should say basic phrases only with weird pitch to them.
Have a real sus guy following your group, before it reveals itself to be a horrifying monster
@@Tomohran Thats a reason why i wouldnt want that kind of enemy because lethal company should stay lethal company and not that game which has some SCP like monsters.
One game, there was TWO Behives right UNDER our ship ! We managed to get out... just to find ANOTHER Behive right next to the ladder going up the industrial building !

Regarding your complaint about the longer walks on Offense, they're also *easier* walks back. The dogs are blind so all you gotta do is be silent, while on March the ship is a bit closer but the giants have super long vision and it takes a lot more time to sneak around them late. You guys don't seem to stay out that late anyways but generally it's worth it to, and when it comes to that time, the moons are pretty equal IMO.
Not every enemy is bad. At the very beginning you kept running into that wide-mouthed thing; that's a spore lizard. Unless you corner them they are absolutely harmless and really cute.
never trust a hoarder bug. they are a very good distraction
Yeah, it was really funny when I finally, after an hour of running around scared shitless, got to reading about all the monsters I've scanned and all of them were like "Just don't touch them and you're going to be fine"
@@Skarachy I have a clip of someone focused on a hoarder bug only to get killed by a bracken. Still one of the scariest clips I have
they are also SPEED. do not underestimate their ability to cut corners on you and clap your cheeks. @@Skarachy
The monitor shows items and monsters near by players on the map, and you can open the bulk heads and turn off turrets. Get one guy in the ship radioing in directions.
This game in my opinion is most fun with open mic especially when there are eyeless dogs and everyone just stays completely silent and trying not to make any sound at all

My brother in christ the first video EVERYONE was yelling at us to use proximity chat, we do that. And now you want more. It's never enough for you guys ;P Obviously having 4 streamers on open mic would be a disaster "Thank you for the 4 months" - "thanks for the gift subs" "10$ donation WHAT". Trust me, you think you want this but you don't

Fun fact, the clown horns and airhorns will lure the monsters to the location it was used. So your friends chasing you around using them was actually detrimental.... to ALL of you

the only monster that does anything with sound is the eyeless dog, and those are only outside. The misinformation you mentioned wasn't fun, nor was it even a fact lol.
I think having a mimic in the game would be so cool. Like they’d look like a player in your crew and just follow you around for a while before they kill you

@@sophiescalzitti yeah, but what I mean is an entity that has the same player model of someone on your crew that will follow you around for a little bit before it kills you
@@BreakerBocks better yet, have it record like a random 30s-1min of a single player's dialogue and repeat it, same timing and everything several minutes later to other players. say that dude dies to a landmine right, but like five minutes later in near-pitch black with active threats, begin to hear their voice again, speaking to a T what they've already said. plenty of ways to implement it well, too.
like try to catch dialogue as someone entered a new room, was not actively talking, and began speaking X seconds after entering. record the next 30s of their active speaking, and replay that while adding in the time that that player wasn't speaking so it's even more uncanny.
then replay that bad boy if and when a mimic's nearby. that player doesn't even need to be dead either, it'd just add confusion until it sets in that yea, that wasn't them and they've wasted time and drawn attention to their location trying to explain to their friends that they've been quiet lol
There is a mod that adds in a mimic, pretty much exactly what your talking about. It looks like a player, has footsteps like a player, and will actually record audio clips from player mics and replay them randomly.
I had no idea Lethal Company's dev made It Steals too, that's dope as heck! I have both of them and It Steals is one of the best SP horror games I think I've ever played.
I still go back and play Hide and Seek mode here and there, wicked fun game. one of my personal recommendations to friends looking for "anxiety: the video game"

Not even an hour in and I'm laughing so hard i'm crying 😂 The others discovering the horn then the air horn, chasing Insym around with them, then Insym buying the boombox and realizing too late he gave them something else to make noise with i CAN'T
Additionally, i love at 1:10:40 you can hear AND see him physically stumble as if thinking "maybe i shouldn't say this" before saying it anyway XD and Psycho turning around to just look at him was priceless

You don't need to type everything completely.
Some examples of shortened commands:

...
Even shorter than that, you can type C or D to confirm or deny. Also can type com and wa (Yes i'm that lazy)

Something that I appreciate Insym does is he makes the good well meaning portions of his audience feel really nice by beginning his vid with thanking his audience for the tips that improve the fun and experience of the game for him. That does a few things: it avoids and ignores the negative that will always come from large audiences. If you acknowledge and draw attention to bad behavior, you’re likely to encourage more of it. People like to troll, feeding that urge by giving it attention will make what is present grow and that can be disheartening. He didn’t do that here and I think thats incredibly wise. Instead, what he’s doing is praising those in his audience that want to make the game more fun for him and ultimately more enjoyable to watch for viewers and that improves the quality of his product so everyone wins.

In those gassy areas you can turn off the valve. You can find it by listening and it’ll grow louder as you get closer

I had an episode of sleep paralysis a few days ago and it scared me so much that I was really afraid of falling asleep for a few nights, but I realized that if everytime I got scared I thought of Insym getting scared it made me laugh instead lol. Thank you Insym for making horror a lot more managable for me 😂

Nah they’re just messing around I think. The strategy is to try and stay quiet, maybe place a boombox to distract some of the blind monsters

i dont know if you know this, but theres a secret monster which is just called a ghost girl. one of the 4 will be chosen to be able to see the ghost girl. the one who can sees her will be killed by her and the others will not be able to see her and not be her target. you should make a video trying to get it
