The best part is link is left handed again

And Zelda's A Righty Still XD

Link’s disappearance to the void dimension after freeing his princess had a cool parallel to Zelda’s fall before sent back in time in Tears of the Kingdom.
While some people claims the symbols on Link's hood is from the Twili, I believes both the hood and the bow Link had used to free Zelda is more like a Zonai design.
I also got totk vibes from this. Instead of Zelda falling and disappearing its Link this time
Am so sick of zonai ugh. we all want more twili
I could go either way honestly, Zonai or Twili.

7:39 "mr.Aonuma" i don't know why but that made me burst out in laughter when he said that. Even Aonuma is being analyzed lol.
The Restart Analysis machine spares no one it seems!
Even though we may have not had a playable Zelda in Tears of the Kingdom and see more of her journey in the past, this REAVEL TRAILER MAKES ME SCREAM OUT IN EXCITEMENT!!!
Art styles have been shared by unrelated games before. The Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks series share the same style as the Minish Cap/Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures series and Triforce Heroes.
So the appearance of Pikmin 4 Luminknolls and Tri's similar design to Glow Pikmin confirm that the Pikmin games take place in the Downfall Timeline. Right? 😂
Yes. Why do you ask? lol
I’m so excited for this game! This is probably going to be my new favorite 2D Zelda! It looks amazing!
A playable Zelda is what I had been waiting since Skyward Sword, Tears of the Kingdom and Princess Peach: Showtime.
We knew he would do it, and by the grace of the goddesses he did it
I love it. I am so excited!! I am super curious about all the returning enemies and races. Especially the deku tree and the two Zora races! Thankfully we wont be waiting long!
Obviously using the Awakening assets is very cost effective and i'm always glad for engine reuse if it leads to interesting games (MM etc) but, with how many characters and *things* are being brought together from different games, I have to wonder if the style choice is more intentional than that.
LA famously had characters from/similar to Mario in it (maybe bleeding through subcon) - if these things are coming through the void maybe the void is linked to Nightmare or Koholint's destruction.
3:21 I want to add that it can be assumed that this is a sequel but don’t forget to rule other possibilities like prequels or just unrelated games. Although I assume it is related as the Oracle games are also sequels of A Link to the Past, same as Link’s Awakening, and Zelda has her Oracle design almost perfectly, and the two zora tribes that appear in the Oracle games are also shown.
I saw a really interesting theory on tumblr that Echoes of Wisdom could be a parallel game to Link’s Awakening, and when Link falls through the Rift, that’s how he ends up in the dream of the Windfish. Might not be true but that would be incredibly interesting!
Since Zelda wields the Tri Rod for creative puzzle solving and spawning monsters to attack your enemies, I hope Nintendo hasn’t forgotten her divine power, her intellect (as a scholar) and her signature weapon- her Bow of Light.
They are very important parts to Princess Zelda. I hope more reveals will be shown before Echoes of Wisdom is released.
Actually I hope to go into this blind from now on. 3 months isn't long from now. I want to discover what else they will throw at us via my own play through.
@@richardmahn7589 I know the feeling but we can't go this blind til we have a better understanding.
Her intellect is already represented by the fact that we (as Zelda) get to solve a puzzle however we like using our imagination (intellect).
19:05 I know, I'll kill crows to get money! Baiting them....killing them.... dang missed one! HEY! COME BACK WITH MY MONEY!!!!
The map looks very similar in layout to A Link to the Past. Changes here and there but overall.
I hope we get a Direct for Echoes Of Wisdom a couple weeks before release
I love it. "Will Zelda be playing with a sword?" and you bluntly go "Nope" LOL. Also thank you. You are the only one that I have watched saying that they was the Faron region. I was thinking that myself. Anyway, loved your detail review.
To me this is a sequel from link awakening
Many people disagree with me 🤷🏻♂️
The font is the exact same as link awakening
It could aslo be a direct sequel to A Link between worlds.
Nha thats the Oracle games.
@@dippking4638 yeah
I was just saying a sequel maybe because of the art style
I’m looking at links awakening as a new game instead of a remake
So probably that’s why
15:10 could the pointy glowing rock thingies not only be fast travel points (or not) but a way to get triangles back on Tri? While we see a monster starting to flash, meaning I assume he is going away, what if tables and such don't go away right away (maybe despawn as you go to new areas) but to make more items, you replenish Tri's tail here?
On the Gerudo bit, you can see one of the beds start to flash. I think everything you spawn has a timer.
@@lordofthe6string Ah, good point. You have to act quick! I'm going to assume triangles go back right away once the object despawns, but still wonder if the pointy glowing rocks have something to do with Tri's power...either replenishing or getting more triangles.
I am excited to play Zelda Echoes of Wisdom! and her getting a game is awesome to see!
What's the music you use for the last ~5 mins of the video? It's so familiar but I can't place it. I initially thought Skyward Sword but now I wanna say Fire Emblem... Fates maybe?
I see this game as a sequel to both Link's Awakening as well as the Oracle games in the sense that this is the first time in a top-down Zelda game where the Deku Tree makes an appearance. The Oracle games also had the Maku Trees which were essentially the "Deku Trees" of Labrynna and Holodrum and so perhaps the three trees are related in some way. We also never got to see what Hyrule was like during the events of Oracle of Ages and Seasons. Thus, I'm inclined to believe that this is Hyrule not too long after the events of the Oracle games and Link's Awakening. I also love the fact that Nintendo is basically merging some of the freedom we got in BOTW/TOTK with the more tight and compact puzzle solving we're familiar with in a top-down Zelda game. I can see Echoes of Wisdom being similar to the likes of A Link Between Worlds.

With the trailer showing that an enemy will have to be defeated before being able to make an echo of them. What if Link is defeated by Ganon, and Zelda makes an echo of Link to defeat Ganon at the end? 🥺
I first thought it would be cool to echo ganon so he defeats himself but it would be tragic if link was defeated and zelda used his spirit with tri to defeat ganon at the end. probably will somehow have link revived at the end by the triforce or something like that
Im looking forward to this. It follows features of Botw, you control objects, explore an open 🌎 world. Help races on your quest to save link. Its the first of its kind with Zelda not Link. Will have to try this one.
It's really not that rare to have the same art style dor Zelda games. Look at how many use the toon link design from wind waker! OOT and MM had the same design, TOTK and BOTW had also the same design. The oracle games and Link's Awakening had the same design.
What would a hypothetical game where you play as Ganon(dorf) be like? Would you be a bad guy or maybe a version of him that rejects Demise and fights him?
Possibly the downfall timeline? As our hero literally disappears idk Zelda lore is confusing af
I have a theory. What if ganon knew that link was more experienced, so he got a backup plan. Since ganon would know that link would beat him maybe he stole or got a new magic, maybe he teamed up with a new enemy and at the end they betray ganon and the new enemy fights link. Idk just a theory. Great video btw.
I personally believe Link is going to be playable in some fashion. They even went so far as to showcase him jumping which isn't even a staple in Zelda games
That Ganon boss clearly looks like you're controlling Link during it.
The Legend of Zelda: Copy/Paste Princess Adventure
16:07 you missed it she’s standing on a boat 🛥️ I think the under world that’s purple is lol water and your drive around in the boat and go on different places
This was my hi light of the show it was so good I'm eaven getting the hello kitty game because I love animal crossing 😹😹😹
20:39 Not only are there no triangles above the windup octorok, but they seemed to remove the hud for this, so we can't see the D pad help.
please don't give me hope regarding Vaati. he was such a cool character
What if that robo octorock is created by the scientist dude in the lab? Seems like he’ll assist you with gadgets/upgrades like that imo.
That seems to make the most sense at this point!
@@AndresRestart I’m going to predict you can take enemy echoes and he’ll make robo versions that essentially go berserk and don’t consume Tri energy. Maybe they’ll be consumables or something else!
@@_kevosan LOL. I was going to say that too. And joke that he prefers science over magic....so let's do science! lol
zelda having a bow at some point would make sense, that and maybe a magical harp or instrument
Glowing thing? Maybe a “recharge station” for your rod to get more triangles?
Fight the algorithm! Like and comment your Zelda videos!
First person I’ve seen to notice that the wind-up octorok isn’t an echo! Thank you!!
How can it be a sequel if Link's Awakening when the whole game is a dream?
I think early in game, Impa may help Zelda to escape Hyrule Castle?
You can already do jump spin attacks in Links Awakening
I wonder if you play as Link at ANY point in the game
Also what is the maximum triangles will there be? Do you start out with 4 and gain one everytime you complete a "dungeon"?
The Ganon boss battle seems to clearly be playing as Link.
22:17 in a link to the past the hylian knights turned evil so maybe that is what is happening here
What if links awakening is taking place while he got sucked into the void?
I'm not so sure the hood is a disguise. It could be, but it could also just be a functional piece of gear, or a memento of Link, or something else.
It's an invisibility cloak. The guards at the gate just thought they heard something...must be the wind. :)
This is the exactly links awakening but we play as zelda
I think there's a couple timeline placement possibilities.
1. right after Link to the Past
2. right after Link's Awakening
3. right after Oracles
What about after A Link Between Worlds?
@@a.jthomas6132I don't think its after LBW. By the events of LBW the mountain becomes volcanic, here its closer to its LTTP appearance and we see a different mountain out of the normal bounds that is volcanic and is probably this game's Death Mountain.
The other mountain here is probably Hebra. LTTP Light World's mountain was Hebra in Japan. Only the dark world version of the mountain was called Death Mountain in LTTP in Japan.
I think that's what is going on here, but I am mixed on it being right after LTTP/LA because of the appearance of Castle Town.
Still Can’t believe the direct was this good lol
@AndresRestart check out the shadows of Link and Zelda. I'd say Link fighting Ganon is not a cutscene. Why? Because of shadows! Take a look at Link's shadow: in an obvious cutscene moment when he dispatches 3 darknuts with a spin - it is a normal shadow. In the battle with Ganon - it's a circle. Zelda's shadow is also a circle while in a gameplay. However, in cutscenes (BOTW-like opening and when soldiers bow to her) it is a normal shadow. Similarly, NPCs have normal shadows as well. I think they made it a circle for us to easier see where the character lands after jumping. So I think Link is playable during this fight, which likely means he'll be playable again later in the game (final battle after Zelda saves him, perhaps). Not as an echo, but as Link.
I hope it will be a mix of totk/botw and top down zelda
It also gives me Link to the Past vibes.
Very excited for this.
Ganon will probably manipulate link to attack Zelda in the final battle, which is why he has the blue aura around him
Kinda like a puppet link similar to twilight princess where you fight puppet Zelda
I think it’s just a shirt
I think this is my favorite trailer analysis from you yet. I like that you told the story along with the trailer in a way, felt like you were a narrator almost. I like the style you came out with for this one!
So extremely hype for this game, I like the theory that there’s going to be two more 2D zelda’s in this style, another being power and another being courage. Would be really cool to have a game from Ganons perspective!
tri also + try like try this or that
15:51 ...wow.. you just nailed that.. that's likely exactly what is going to happen... really cool idea because those rifts do seem like they have to be cleared out...
That place in water reminds me of where the fairy Is in link to the past, where you go back and spend money to carry more items
Tri Rod seems like a poorly thought out name.
This is true. I thought of it
Well Switch 2 isn't going to have a new exclusive Zelda game until at the very earliest 2028 realistically 2029
Which leaves a space for twilight princess, wind waker hd and probably link between worlds remaster in the meantime I guess
@atomicsamurai9742 that's not as exciting to fans as a NEW Zelda and will not sell Switch 2, at least Switch 1 had BOTW at launch
@@kierenbuckley370 3d mario will sell switch 2 and a new mario kart, as you said we wont see a new unique zelda for quite some time after this
@atomicsamurai9742 Nintendo shouldn't just rely heavily on Mario for the first 12 months there needs to be variety and that is one of the reason's Switch 1 did so well out the gate
I’ve been indifferent about a “Zelda” game, but sure, it could work 🤷🏻♂️ if anything, I prefer a 2D “Zelda” game, and not a 3D one.
I didn’t love the _Link’s Awakening_ art style, and this game is reusing it, sadly… but it does seem to have made some improvements, so that’s nice.
I don’t mind the character models that much, but yea… why is everything so shiny? why do the trees need to look like toys? and mostly, why does the map need to be designed on a square grid like that? can they not make a free-form 2D world map?
the “echo” menu navigation looks like it will be abysmal… but I hope not.
mostly, I’m worried this won’t be much of a “traditional” 2D _Zelda_ game, and instead will be a big open-world sandbox, like a 2D _TOTK…_ which I would be much less excited about. the dungeon-y areas in the trailer look promising, though.
or maybe, the more I think about it, could the 2D sandbox be way better than the 3D sandbox? maybe so 🤷🏻♂️
…so there are lots of things about this game that concern me, but at least it’s something new, and that will be fun to experience at least once 👍
I almost passed on TOTK but I will surely be passing on this one. It's very sad to see the series going in this direction. Looks and plays like a worse version of a 2D Zelda game. This is not the legend of Zelda anymore may aswell call it the legend of minecraft.
The enemy that appears in 25:10 reminds alot of bongo bongo from oot

Did you notice Zelda wearing Link’s hood? This will be a major win for the Zelink nation!
I'm pretty sure Nintendo will explain where and when the game takes place on the Zelda timeliness. Since the Deku tree from Oot is back, it should take place after a link to the past.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Destiny
Plot:
The game takes place in the Child Link branch of the Zelda timeline, following the events of
"Twilight Princess. Link, now a young adult, lives a peaceful life in Hyrule. However, a mysterious rift in time and space threatens to unravel the fabric of reality, with various eras and dimensions merging into one. This disturbance awakens an ancient evil force that was sealed away centuries ago.
Link, with the help of Zelda, embarks on a quest to restore the balance and prevent the complete collapse of Hyrule. Along the way, they'll encounter characters and locations from different timelines and dimensions, including references to "Ocarina of Time," "Skyward Sword," and even alternate realities.
Gameplay:
1. Time Manipulation: Link gains the power to manipulate time, allowing him to temporarily rewind or fast-forward events. This ability is crucial for solving puzzles and uncovering secrets.
2. Dimensional Travel: Link obtains a mystical artifact that lets him travel between parallel dimensions. Each dimension presents unique challenges and enemies, and Link must use his wit and abilities to navigate them.
3. Master Sword Upgrades: The Master Sword can be upgraded with the essences of different eras, granting it new abilities.
For example, absorbing the essence of the Skyward Sword era might allow Link to unleash devastating sword techniques.
4. Collaborative Abilities: Link can temporarily team up with alternate versions of himself from other timelines to solve puzzles and engage in epic battles.
Antagonist:
The primary antagonist is a corrupted being known as the "Time Devourer," who seeks to merge all timelines and dimensions into a chaotic void. As Link and Zelda progress, they uncover the tragic backstory of this entity, adding depth to the narrative.
Conclusion:
"The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Destiny" would offer a fresh take on the series, combining elements from various timelines and dimensions while introducing innovative gameplay mechanics. It would explore the consequences of time manipulation and the importance of maintaining the balance of the Zelda universe. Again, please remember that this is purely speculative and not based on any official information.
Centuries ago, the Time Devourer was not always a malevolent force. It was once a guardian spirit known as Tempora, tasked with preserving the harmonv of time and space across Hyrule's various dimensions and timelines. Tempora was revered as a protector by the ancient civilization of the Temporians, who harnessed time magic to advance their society.
However, as the Temporians grew more ambitious, they sought to use time manipulation for their own gain. They began altering key events in history to accumulate power and wealth. Tempora, torn between its duty to maintain balance and its love for its people, allowed these transgressions to continue, hoping to guide the Temporians back to the path of righteousness.
But as the Temporians' actions escalated, their meddling led to catastrophic consequences.
Timelines fractured, dimensions collided, and chaos reigned. In a desperate attempt to stop the madness, Tempora absorbed the destructive energies unleashed by the Temporians' reckless experiments. This act of self-sacrifice transformed Tempora into the Time Devourer, a twisted and vengeful being fueled by a desire to undo the Temporians' corruption.
Now, as the Time Devourer, it seeks to merge all timelines and dimensions into a void, believing that erasing existence itself is the only way to cleanse the sins of its people. Link and Zelda's quest to stop the Time Devourer becomes not only a battle to save Hyrule but also an exploration of the consequences of unchecked ambition and the tragedy of a guardian turned malevolent by its own sense of responsibility.
This backstory would add depth to the Time Devourer's character and motives, making it a more nuanced antagonist in "The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Destiny."
Kinda wish it was just playable Link. Instead we get this minecraft type garbage. Seems they will do anything to avoid going back to the old formula. When its even happening with 2d Zelda its concerning
Link is the true hero, I hope Nintendo comes back to their senses and makes the legend of Zelda traditional again 💔
What are you gay or something? Link... more like Twink.
Ha, you missed it's the Zelda 3 map
Link to the past remake
Nope.
10 year wait for a brand new Zelda game and we get that...very disappointing. Now I have to scroll through a horizontal line of one hundred echoes to find the one I want. And sit there building chairs, beds and trampolines so I can get higher. Is this seriously what the devs have been doing with their development time? It just looks like a worse version of a 2D Zelda game. The only thing I can thing of is they are trying to target girls to play. If this sort of stuff becomes the new norm though, the golden years are well and truly over.
Are we playing the LEGEND of Zelda here or the legend of minecraft? If you told me this would be the next brand new 2D Zelda game 10 years ago, I wouldn't have believed it. Aonouma has to hang up the boots as he has lost the plot.
Oh just gtfo already, so annoying with all the negativity from you people.
