So excited to use this program 😊😊 it’s so much easier to keep consistent frequent practice going for toddlers when you aren’t tied to a strict schedule ❤❤
Thank you for this! The closest swim lessons to us is 30 minutes and I have 4 children. I would spend my life driving back and forth. I was looking for something like this! I can take them 5 min up the road to our community pool and teach them myself.
Such a beautiful video it really touched my heart ❤thank you amazing mom for sharing. your baby is so precious God bless you🙏🏻. My friend's 6 year old daughter drowned 3 years ago since then. It just makes me panic to see children’s who can’t swim near or in a pool, it makes me very anxious. I am a grandmother of beautiful children, I am in charge of taking them to their swimming classes. The truth is that it is priceless and it is the best gift you can give these little ones the techniques to survive in the water.
Thank you so much! Your Grandkids are lucky to have such a wonderful Grandma who takes them to swim lessons. Im so sorry to hear of your friends daughter. Our mission is to change those stories and statistics by empowering parents to teach their children important swim and water safety skills. You're right on- Learning to swim is a priceless gift!
How do you know if they’re holding their breath when you’re pouring water on their head? How do you know they’re going to hold their breath underwater? I feel like toddlers don’t understand how to do that
You'll know they are ready to hold their breath underwater when they consistently close their mouth for water pour skills! Sometimes they will open their mouth for a sensory thing, but if they dont inhale they are holding their breath 👏
I tried this with my 13 month old and he swallowed water once I dunked him. What should I do? He seems to hold breath with the water pouring in head but not the under water pull
start with showing them bubbles under the water while you hold them in the water but making sure they are not under the water. making it dramatic helps them see it too and then show them taking a deep breath before being dunked make sure you go slow when taking them under as well or else it may be a big shock to them. Also practice counting 3-2-1 before going under so they start knowing they are about to go under.
It helps to really imitate and show him how to hold his breath. Show him how you take a big breath (inhale deeply and puff up your cheeks keeping your mouth closed) and dunk your own head underwater. When you come up do a big exhale near him so he can feel the air. Keep at it and just start with one second at a time. Follow along because in the nest week I'll be releasing a video that shows breath control progess!
