Try doing forex. Exchange rates are low for saraswat and government banks. Also you have to send minimum 10,000 cad which comes to approximately 6 lac in inr

hey i wanted to ask this. since gic has to be paid directly from student account.
so how does it work when we pay through agents like thomas cook and extravelmoney.

So basically these are forex transfer agents, you transfer your money to their dedicated account (details for which they will share with you) and then they will transfer that money with their nostro account. (Nostro - an mediatory account that agents/banks hold in foreign currency in another bank)
