La idea de la que surge la Sant Andreu Reunion Band es la de hacer un grupo en donde todos los músicos formen o hayan formado parte de la Sant Andreu Jazz Band. Siempre intento dar oportunidades, más allá del proyecto, a todos aquellos que están trabajando bien:
1) O bien, a través de la colección de cds Joan Chamorro presenta,
o 2) Contando con ellos, ya como profesionales, en los diferentes grupos que voy creando.
Sigo trabajando con músicos que hace años ya no están en la orquesta y a la vez nuevos músicos se van incorporando, a medida que crecen personal y musicalmente. Ya han pasado más de 80 jóvenes músicos por la Sant Andreu Jazz Band, de los que la gran mayoría se dedican o se dedicarán profesionalmente a la música.
El resultado es que en cada proyecto aparecen nuevos solistas, nuevas voces que poco a poco van teniendo su propia voz. Posiblemente el próximo año veamos nuevas caras en otras agrupaciones. De momento aquí tenemos esta nueva reunión de músicos en donde, una vez más, la voz es la protagonista a través de seis cantantes con estilos muy variados, y todos ellos, grandes instrumentistas. Completando el grupo tenemos al resto de la banda que son grandes solistas y que, puntualmente, también hacen voces en algún tema.
Los arreglos, en su gran mayoría, son de Joan Monné. Poder contar con Scott Hamilton en algunos temas es un honor para nosotros. Espero y deseo poder seguir apoyando a los jóvenes músicos a través de proyectos como este.

Wow. Such mature, professional playing from these young women and men. For me the highlight is the tenor sax solo!
Vaya ensemble que se ha montado el maestro para esta ocasión: lo mejorcito de la actual SAJB (Claudia, Elsa, Koldo, Lola, Pau, Perot, Gerard) con tres ilustres ex (Èlia, Arnau, Martí) y el propio Chamorro al contrabajo, que últimamente lo tenía un poco abandonado. Casi nada al aparato, oiga.
Claudia sigue progresando de forma continua y segura, su voz es cada vez más redonda, sin perder ese tono especial que la hace distinta a todas las anteriores cantantes de la banda. Apuesto a que en el futuro será también "presentada" con su disco de rigor, después de Koldo (el suyo sale en Febrero, creo) y Elsa, que también debe estar ya en camino. Y los solos de Martí, de nivel mundial, me encanta este chico, multinstrumentista, vocalista y además tiene pinta de ser un tipo fenomenal. También Lola se luce en el suyo, otra que va para figura.

Professional musicians make it look so easy, but it's not, and for these young people to achieve such a professional performance speaks volumes for the hours and committment they will have dedicated ro their music.

Whole band great and the alto sax jump in with Joan M was fantastic! as was his solo - same with Lola who is new to me, her solo also great! I've seen a few with Claudia in vox, lovely young lady.

[ English ] What an ensemble that the maestro has put together for this occasion: the best of the current SAJB (Claudia, Elsa, Koldo, Lola, Pau, Perot, Gerard) with three illustrious former members (Èlia, Arnau, Martí) and Chamorro himself on double bass , which lately had been a bit abandoned.
Claudia continues to progress continuously and safely, her voice is increasingly rounder, without losing that special tone that makes her different from all the previous singers in the band. I bet that in the future she will also be "presented" with her usual album, after Koldo (his comes out in February, I think) and Elsa, who should also be on the way. And Martí's solos, world-class, I love this man, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and he also seems like a phenomenal guy. Lola also shines in hers, another one that goes for figure.

I think so. I have collected 7 videos of the Jazz House in which Claudia Rostey participates and this is the first as a soloist, the rest are as an accompanist on the trombone.

Me gustó mucho... en particular la prestación del multi-intrumentista (flautista, saxos) muy prometedor, la hermana de Alba Armengou también, pero es dificil destacar uno. Y Elia me sorprende, teniendo en cuenta su estado, tiene una fuerza increible, que sea como violinista, saxofonista y cantante... Como admirador absoluto de la musica brasileña (bossa nova, samba, MPB, etc.), aprecio mucho también este aspecto en la música que sale del Sant Andreu... Andrea, Alba, Elia cantan muy bien y he enviado los clips a mis amigas y amigos brasileños que aprecian mucho. Soy francés pero vivo aquí desde septiembre de 1985 y por amor visité varias veces Brasil, la ultima vez en marzo 2023... Forofo de jazz desde 1977, Coltrane, Miles, Dolphy, Mingus, Monk, Hawkins, Lester, Parker, Gillespie, Dexter, Jackie McLean, y un largo etc figuran en mi extensa discoteca. Y también Andrea, Elia, el del HalliGalli Quartet.... Joan, como contrabajista, nunca tuviste ganas de adaptar algo de Mingus ? Igual lo hiciste, en tu amplia discografia...
