I think maybe he is wondering if Gordon Ran is using that position to purposefully illicit that sweep from his opponent to get them to put themselves into the position he actually WANTS to get into.
I feel that Gordon was playing around. I've seen him reset a couple of times on purpose, maybe to start passing again and make him opponent spend even more energy trying to defend. But also demoralize them
