Funny thing is that Ainz doesn't even consider this spell to be his strongest but rather chose it for the flashiness. But it could be said that the spell works better in the New World than in Yggdrasil. Also the anime unfortunately did undersell the "battle" quite a bit. There were no Soul Eaters, you didn't get an impression on how many Death Knights there were and the speed of the Dark Young didn't really get conveyed.

I hated this scene in season 3 compared to season 1 when he just showed up and massacred the soldiers. Season 3 the scene feels so empty. Season 1 fully depicts the despair and desperation of the soldiers with the use of camera works and the lighting in the background changing from day to night.
You're right. Additionally, about the entire episode, there is also the terrible CGI. Baby goats, imperial soldiers, Ainz's death knights, royal army and even the terrain are all CGI and it seems like they didn't even try to make a good CGI. Entire battle looks like you are commanding armies in a game like Medieval II Total War (although, I think M2TW had better graphics than this). Lastly, I didn't reach that part of the light novel yet, so that might be the case in the light novel as well and not bad adaptation, but when Ainz's spell is happening, royal soldiers just watch their comrades in the other side of the battlefield die and then turn into the baby goats. They just stand there, despite Marquis saying they should run away like rabbits just a moment ago. If a LN reader is reading this comment, can you tell me if they just stand there in LN, too?

Yeah I wonder what a normal spear man would think being one of the lucky to not be targeted for Insta death then see five creatures running at you like your a blade a grass on a field of yard about to be cut down by a mower.

In my opinion I don't think she can, if I'm not mistaken I think she should be around level 75-80 because they said she was stronger than some of the Pleidades, but since the Youngs are level 90 and there are several , I think with all the divine treasures of the theocracy they could kill a few, but if it is Zeshi vs 5 joungs or she wins in a very difficult fight or she will lose

as much as i love this scene on the book, i cant help but get disappointed how the anime portrayed it. All the intensity, horror and gore were gone and the CGI is just making it worse, no muddied blood, no bones and flesh scattered on the bloody puddle, no soldier perspective on the horrors these Goats bring, also the Goat sounds are on loop its annoying, also why the hell are they fighting on a clear daylight sky there's no recurring feel or tone to the horrific scene unfolding, etc. I just cant bring to watch the "splat" scene to its entirety without skipping. Such a missed opportunity, would have been easily a top anime moment.
@@bani6758 Yes but in the LN he said "This isn't my strongest spell, but it will work" or something along those lines, his strongest spell is The goal of all life is death which kills anything in like a 500m radius. the desert that you see at the end of his and shelter's fight is the forest after he used that spell, if he used it the entire army, on both sides, mare, and all the death knights would have been destroyed. Adding: It is one of his weakest not "The" weakest. Adding: it was his weakest against other players because the goats didn't do much damage to level 100 players and only acted as tanks to guard his teammates.
Hey, i've watched a few videos of yours where you talk about Overlord and they've been quite informative but one thing that really is starting to annoy me are those small pauses to catch a breath. Im unsure if that's the thing that keeps me from subscribing / watching further videos or if it's something different that keeps me from that but like i said, you might want to cut those gaps out.
Well it was a couple hundred thousand and its considered weak because its only useful in killing weaker entities against a higher level it would be useless.
