sooooo excited to see what the new album is like! They are always adopting new sounds as a band, and this funky tune just fits them so well:) However, I missed hearing more of Matt and more guitar solos in TBHC. I hope they incorporated that in other songs in this album.....
I've got a feeling that Matt Helders tried to lower the expectations by stating that there won't be heavy riffs anymore, so that when The Car comes out, we will be even more mind blown if the guitar is kicking in brutally. That one could be one of the calmest songs.
For those complaining, every album is an 'era' with a signature sound. True fans recognize their songs and immediately know the album based on its composure. With that being said, they're currently reaching directions that seem to be unexpected, but as the artists they are, they perfect their craft. I'm content because everything they make is gold. Their shows still have some of their older songs, and I'm sure it's possible future albums will have a more rock and roll tone that most people were accustomed to.
