First I would like to thank you for making this video !!! I have a 2007 GSXR 600. I did the same thing and the F1 light went off !!! After that I cleaned up the spring and put a little WD40 and lights never came on after that. It's been 6 months now !
I bought this motorcycle in Dec 2007. The F1 light came on in early 2008. I rode with an F1 light until I replaced the servo In Sept 2011 and the F1 light went away. The light came back on in the summer of 2013, the servos are garbage, they last a year or two, and are not worth replacing. I trick my computer into believing that the servo works by manually pushing the spring around. If you don't want to look at an F1 light or remove your system by pulling your bike apart, this is the easiest way to go.
Disable and/or remove set valve and pull and tape off the wire (brown w/ black or brown w/ black stripe & green dots) from pin #30 from ECU. Save the trouble of having to reach underneath and temporarily solving the problem guys
Ok so I have 2006 gsxr 750 k6 person I bought the bike from had a brand new aftermarket scorpion exhaust put on I’m having the coo code and after I watched a few videos saying it is that valve after the headers but there’s no cables on it what so ever is that because of the new exhaust that was put on or what and what do I need to do to fix it
What about that clicking noise in the tail fairing what is it exactly ? I simply disconnected the top wire an clicking noise went away but idk what It is
The engine vibrations at idle will usually cause the spring to open the butterfly back to fully opened. The problem is that it stays fully opened at all times. Mid , low rpm exhaust back pressure is effected as well as cold weather start.

Built in Japan, July 2006.
rip the set valve out completly and cut the wire , you will burn your vales out if its not opening when the throttle is open

my bike keeps shutting off when i go to a stop and i find it hard to put it in first gear and an f1 light is on.......help!! ( 2008 gsxr 600 )
Will this work for me? I have a 03 gsxr 600 and my F1 light has just come on.
No I believe the valve in the exhaust was introduced in 2006
fyi....not "F1" light, it's "Fi" (fuel injection) light
FYI it's "Failure indicator" not fuel injection
^ beat me to it haha
This doesn't work for me
