Took me a while to realize, but genuinely believe it to be true now

Just now seeing this video. I’ve been working for PayPal 10 years now. Seen the eBay days to now. Let me tell you 2024 we are back to our roots. The new CEO is not playing around. No more BS, pure development and pushing forward on what we do best. These next few years will be exciting, just you watch.
PayPal seriously hires the best of people. I can attest to the hiring friends piece. Back then it was all friends, friends of friends and so on. We all had the same mission as well, to be the best we could and have a good time doing it.
PayPal is a special place, it lost touch for a bit, however we are back baby!

He worked at PayPal for 6 years and the moved on to RUclips where he was for 11 years. In 2018 he launched a tech startup called PlanetScale, which so far has raised $100M. Not bad!

A lot of what you said later in the video make senses to me - hiring fresh grads (from top schools), "immigrant" backgrounds (all of my team are from small provinces in Vietnam, came to big cities for college), having a mortal enemy ... great video

Thanks man! I think a lot of founders are sleeping on the immigrant mentality
