    My favorite Jared Goff quote. It’s from 2021.
    “The gut punches, will stop”
    Also, when he was asked about what the outside world thought about how he was playing he said:
    “Don’t care”

    That's b/c Jared Goff installed his old Rams offense in Detroit. The only exception are the exotic runs and jumbo formations which are from Dan Campbell. It's what good QBs do. Brady installed his in Tampa and Peyton installed his in Denver, no difference.

    1:10 Goff gets paid like a multi-SB winning, elite NFL QB, even exceeding Mahomes.
    The Lions brass has put ALL of their chips in on him and are betting that he will guide the team(s) to a couple of Superbowl wins over the next 4 years...or at least a win and an appearance?
    Better to do that sooner than later, since their payroll will eventually bump up vs the cap and they won't be able to retain all of their best players.
    G/L with that...as many fans posted that Jared would not get the contract that he just has.
    If I was Hendon Hooker, I would request to be traded.

      @ph1sts his first interview on detroit lions youtube homie. Said he was "extremely anxious" to be given the honor of "learning behind the legendary goatee goffington" in not only the qb room but in his personal lige too. Okay i may be exaggerating that a little lmfao but im sure he said something like he was ready to get back and learn the offense, work behind goff and do whatever he can to help the lions win. Seriously go watch that interview. Lions official team page

    Massive overpay! You can’t pay good players great money QB or not. Too many teams repeat this mistake and are on a carousel of mediocrity. Goff has always been as good as the talent around him. In LA and DET. Sewell made sense he’s a STUD, St Brown was an overpay but necessary with Williams not being what was expected. Once talent starts to fall off because of his contract they’ll realize their mistake just like everybody else. 49ers, Cowboys, Cardinals, Seahawks, Broncos, Raiders, Browns, Saints, Falcons, Buccaneers, Giants, Jets, Titans. Happens over and over….

      I think you've become used to Detroit having decent QBs for the recent past. There's like 5-7 guys who are better than Goff for sure in the league, and the rest are arguable. Cap space will keep rising, as it always does. Hooker seems like a good backup but I don't trust him, I do trust Goff though. Yes it's a lot of money, but Detroit isn't guaranteed a QB of his status without paying him.

      Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Lamar, Stroud, Herbert, Lawrence, Murray, Stafford, Love, Hurts. That’s 11 guys and none of them are even a conversation. Doesn’t include Dak, Cousins, Purdy, etc. who he’s probably all better than but it’s at least a discussion with those 3…

      @@quintenruckman3505 I would say these are a lot more arguable than you think. Stroud had 1 year, chill out. Everyone thought Baker was Cleveland's savior. Burrow is always hurt and you can't win if you don't play. You can say "Stafford won in his first year with the rams" but then you HAVE to acknowledge that Goff won 2 playoff games with the Lions and took them to the championship while Stafford couldn't do that with Megatron in 12 years in Detroit. Trevor Lawrence CHOKED with those last few games missing the playoffs, basically hasn't done anything in the few years he's had. Murray is also hurt and made the playoffs how many times? Jordan love had a good second half of the year, but it's also been 1 year. Goff has played as good as Love + a few more years. Herbert had a good couple of years when he came in but where are the playoff wins? I bet when you think about these QBs you also don't take into account that Goff had a real push for most completions without an int. You pay the guys that get you wins, Stafford didn't win shit in Detroit. But let's blame the Lions for getting the furthest they've ever been in the playoffs by trading Stafford away and paying Goff.

    • @quintenruckman3505
      @quintenruckman3505 19 дней назад

      @lather I can see the arguments for Stroud and Love because it’s one season. If Stafford had the support Goff has gotten in DET he’d have way more pelts on the wall. The team was an absolute JOKE while he was there and it’s only recently changed. Anybody that thought Baker was a savior doesn’t know football. He was a massive overdraft by another joke of a franchise. Herbert was dealt with awful coaching his entire career in LAC. He’s just now going to start getting the support he needs. Lawrence is more of an argument because he’s been up and down. But you can’t deny the Urban experiment stunted him out the gate. Last season they were 8-3 when he got injured and he tried to push through but wasn’t ever right again. Goff has been bubble wrapped and inflated by his surroundings. As Bucky Brooks would say ‘he’s a trailer, not a tractor’. In the weak NFC he’ll be able to do some damage. But don’t confuse that with him being a top 5-10 guy…

      @@quintenruckman3505 idk, Schwartz gave Stafford a top 2 defense and they still lost in the wildcard. Goff is better than you think, out of the 11 guys that you put in front, I think it's arguable that he's better than 4 of them, which puts him in the top 10. The salary cap in 2-3 years will be higher, by idk how much but will be more. And dudes will start getting paid more than him. Detroit is trying to play the long game. I remember when Stafford got his record breaking deal in Detroit, then was immediately passed
