Love your tutorial, especially on such a hard complex model. The only critic I have is because the Kraft paper is the same shade on both sides when I attempted this model using copper tissue foil I accidentally ended up folding it with the copper part inside instead of out. If you could just let us know which is the top side of the paper and which side is the bottom at the beginning it would save a lot of heartache down the line when you realize you have to either backtrack or start all over again; especially because in a model like this you are constantly turning the paper over back and forth as you lay out the lines and folds. Other than that, thank you for uploading such beautiful challenging models.
But I put at the beginning of the tutorial for which side of the paper to start folding: 1:04 That problem I already solved for months. Now I use a small bicolor paper at the beginning of the tutorial. Thank you so much for your kind comment and opinion, I have it in consideration. I try to be very detailed in each step that I fold so that you understand me without problems. Happy that you like my tutorials. Greetings
MarianoZavalaOrigami Thank you for pointing that out with a time marker, I completely missed seeing that before I started the model. It just surprised me because you are so meticulous and clear in direction. Especially your other videos, because unlike the majority of complex origami tutorials on RUclips which leave you frustrated and wadded ball of wasted paper, your Tutorials take it step by clear step so that you are left not only with a model but a sense of self fulfillment from completing and learning something new. I always highly recommend your videos when I teach my junior highschool students origami.
Can you do a origami tutorial for a puffer fish or fugu that you could actually blow air into it?

Part 1 done, onto part 2, keeping my fingers crossed. A great tutorial as usual from Mariano. I am using 40 cm brown kraft paper, cut myself from a roll so it is not exactly square. Hopefully that won't prevent me from getting to the end. Zavala has some of the best origami teaching on YT!

Where did you Start to learn folding origami? With books, Videos or just by trying by yourself? I am New in origami and bought a Book but sometimes i dont know how to fold correctly. And to the Video very relaxing to watch with a nice Melody 😊. Keep up your nice work
Einpresent I started at Origami in September 2009, self-taught. Little by little I was better, I liked to make basic figures, I had tens, every day I folded about 4 or 5 figures from books, magazines, videos. My first figure reading diagrams was the ghost of Anibal Voyer (I still have it saved). Thank you so much for your kind comment and support. Happy that you like my work. Greetings
@alfa mike Hello thank you for the long Message. That helped me alot to think a bit more what I can do now. Mabey it wasnt the best idea to Start with difficult models of origami. I only bought the Book 50 hours of origami to fold me a blue eyes white dragon. But i think i need to improve my skills with some easy figurs. Do you have mabey a good Book to Start with. Thank you very much for your help :)

What size paper did you use for the one in the beginning?
50 x 50 cm. Final result 26 cm (from the nose to the tip of the tail). Greetings

Para esta figura usé papel kraft de 100 gramos pintado con pintura acrílica. Se pueden conseguir en cualquier tienda de productos escolares o de oficina. Saludos

does this tutorial yield a single color model if you use a piece of paper with a different color on the front and back?

Hi Mariano. I enjoyed your tutorial. You stated in text that recommended paper is 3 tissue paper 50cm. Do you just lay the three papers on top of each other and fold?
Look up how to make double tissue paper, its made using MC glue to basically combine the papers together, except he is recommending you do the same with 3 papers.
