If I was Jin I would spare Shimura too Like I said in early comment honor was not a thing yet historically, so Jin sparing him would not be dishonorable Plus the almost proud smile Shimura gives if you do indicates and implies that he is proud of Jin. Jin walks his own path and Shimura in a sense wanted that for him and also proud cause even despite accusing him of having no honor that Jin has more honor that he even as the ghost never broke the code Also I think Shimura would try his best to keep the Shogun and his army from hunting Jin and his allies as long as he could Also I think that he finds out what jin does on Iki island and likely proudly smiling hearing the news
I haven't played either of those games yet, but I do have plans to play the first one, likely some time soon, and if I like that, then I'll play the second as well. I will decide whether or not I'd want to make movies of them after I play them.
@@benjackson5411 unfortunately, I decided against doing that game as I didn't enjoy it. To me it felt more like a lower budget DLC, and didn't have a good enough or important enough story to be worth forcing myself to replay a game I didn't enjoy, so I decided I wouldn't do that one, sorry. Trust me though, if you haven't played the game, you're not really missing anything.
@@marcerickson7075 I liked Basim in Valhalla, but Mirage doesn't really do much with his character. Something like 95% of the story feels like unimportant filler. There are maybe a couple moments here and there that were somewhat interesting, but don't really add anything beyond what we knew about his character already. They could have gone a lot further with the character and they basically wasted him.
@@spectacularspider-man4886 it's on my list to check out at some point, but I have very high standards for story and presentation when it comes to a first person game so it has been very rare that I've considered first person games for possible movies.
Technically the original voices are the english ones, as those are the actors who performed the mocap, but I understand why some people may prefer the Japanese voices for the aesthetic.
Awesome game, but the more I rewatch and replay it I realize the Tale of Ryuzo is the most poorly made mission.The enemies permanently switch between fear and daze animations waiting to be stabbed after the explosion. Jin and Ryuzo leap off a flaming boat, directly into the line of archer fire from the adjacent ship. Plot armor fades the screen to black and teleports them to shore unharmed.

Technically Jin was not breaking honor or tradition given that code was not even a thing historically until 200-300 years later So in truth he broke no honor code and also historically the jito and his forces held off the Mongols at komoda beach for a day almost two days My point is that it was not farfetched for Japanese warriors during 1270's to be sneaky and such cause honor aka bushido was not a thing yet Of course this game is historical fantasy so some liberties were taken to make it more epic
