I used my CANON Powershot G10 but the good sound is a work of the venue or rather the sound technicians. good work. I stood just 20 meters from the stage away
I miss this band very much. I don't remember my first toy--probably a toy airplane--but I remember when I first heard Oceanic. On the drive home from the record store, I had the opportunity to listen to it in its entirety, alone and loud. I was about to exit the interstate when I first heard "Hym." Perhaps the power of "from sinking" had served as some kind of catalyst, but once Hym revealed itself to me, I began to have an emotional reaction--a feeling as though I'd been shocked clean by some "purifying terror," as O'Connor would say. I had to pull over, stop the car, and wait...for the part of my life that I want to remember, to begin.
Your comment is so heartfelt and well-written it even made me a little bit emotional. Especially as I'm reading it while listening to Ghost Key for the fifth time in a row (all different recordings/videos, including the instrumental demo). Thank you for sharing this with us.
i saw them back in march '09, freaking amazing, they didn't play ghost key though they played mostly every song on that album except for ghost key, wavering radiant, and threshold of transformation
The audio is, as stated, truly amazing. Such a beautiful, eerie, mystical, layered, FUCKING AWESOME song. The Performance is excellent, which is to be expected from such an amazing band.
right on... ISIS... my all-time favorite - it is stunning at the 3:10 most definately - what a gift this ensemble was/is! amazing 13-year run... and So Did We (in complete awe) witness and engulf the clever Isis business model bestowing us with non-stop live and studio work, while earning much love and respect from a fanbase of the coolest and toughest critics, intellects, artists and anybody who was/is blessed to be "in the know" about this brilliant form of elite music creation...
@coheedandtom the last 2 shows I saw ISIS, the whole time I was practically in tears. The only band that can make me feel that way. They had the best, most unique and beautiful, as well as brutal and crushing sound of anything I've ever heard. I lose it at the part at 3:10... fucking amazing
ragedemonz I'd be dancing SO fucking insanely hard to this, I fucking wish to fuck I could have seen this shit live. I'd be flipping out over this music.
