    The Gauss Rifle (The Last Minute) was my favorite weapon in Fallout 4! So it was the perfect project for my upcoming costume! Made mainly out of laser cut EVA foam as well as a few 3D printed parts - it took Benni, his brother Jakob and me two weeks to bring it together.
    - Svetlana
    For the rusting effect we bought iron powder from eBay and hydrogen peroxide (3%) form the local pharmacy.

    You Cosplayers that put this much detail and time and effort into your props should seriously think about mass producing this items from games and selling them. TONS of people would kill for these types of things!

    • @LuckyNeffy
      @LuckyNeffy 8 лет назад +17

      A lot of people do haha. I use to be commissioned for 50 man hours on projects for 2k-3k

    • @thehurtshoulder1143
      @thehurtshoulder1143 8 лет назад +1

      I never see the products actually reach stores or when this ever actually happens. Seems they need a better marketing campaign when they do comission cosplayers that way more people know and more people will buy!

    • @KamuiCosplay
      @KamuiCosplay  8 лет назад +62

      Well it's not easy to mass produce something like this and even if they decided to do it they would use very different techniques than we cosplayers do. :)

    • @LuckyNeffy
      @LuckyNeffy 8 лет назад +7

      +TheHurtShoulder Plenty of online store of replicas mate. Also its not something meant to be mass produced. its a niche.

    • @thehurtshoulder1143
      @thehurtshoulder1143 8 лет назад +2

      yeah replicas that cost more than the trouble. and I meant mass produced as in, gamers, not the entire world.

    Looks great but i must say i'm somewhat tired of seeing " prop builder " making so-called tutorials all the time using CNC machines and 3D printers . I hardly call that " prop making " any more . Besides , it's like like everyone has such machines in their basements .
    Result is of course great , but it lacks the " hand made touch " .

    • @ToastAndJellyfish
      @ToastAndJellyfish 8 лет назад +3

      Fucking thank. There seems to be a borderline expectation these days that people will have laser cutters, 3D printers, etc. if they're "serious" about what they're doing. These things cost thousands of dollars, and require a ton of space. More and more tutorials rely on them, too, which puts them wholly out of reach of the majority of people who use tutorials, i.e. people who DON'T have access to super expensive tools.

    • @Tomcat_Coyote
      @Tomcat_Coyote 8 лет назад +5

      ToastAndJellyfish I know right ? It seems that " being serious " nowadays in prop makings means " you have thousands to spend on pro equipement and a legit workshop " . What happened to the time when Prop builders were working in their cellars with scrap / salvaged stuff and a few basic powertools ?

    • @mrkleenupguy5781
      @mrkleenupguy5781 8 лет назад +4

      Well, having a dedicated workshop would be considered being serious, seeing as how much they're investing into their work.
