I don't believe that I've ever played a game about ocean life. But I'm a curious guy, always ready to learn new stuff. Every once in a while I go off on tangents and will start reading all about a subject that catches my fancy. I used to be obsessed with intelligence in animals, such as Squid and Octopus and Cuttlefish and Dolphins and so on. I love watching videos where animals solve problems and stuff like that. I was fascinated by octopus at a German zoo that used to shoot water at the fluorescent lights, presumably to short circuit them. I think one of the first science papers I ever wrote was in Jr. High School about intelligence in Dolphins and Porpoises. Unfortunately, they have not always been treated with care and respect. I did study science and engineering, but Biology was never a strong subject for me (possibly due to my Jr. High biology teacher being a real asshole lol -- he did the opposite of inspire me). The furthest I got was a class called 'Biology for Engineers', which was kind of an Ecology class. BTW, one of my old favorite science fiction novels was "Startide Rising" by David Brin. It deals with 'uplifted' dolphins (ones that had been genetically modified) in a galactic empire. It's part of his "Uplift Wars" series.
Thanks so much for the comment! Now, to be fair, this like several layers of niches down the line of niche gaming, not to mention some being fictitious. That said, there is an incredible amount of intelligence in ocean creatures, most surprisingly (IMO) mollusks, as you mentioned. Either way, Marine life is simply fascinating regardless, and I think anyone would do well to learn at least a little about them. Incidentally, not familiar with Uplift Wars - I'll have to check it out.

“With that we’re going to dive right in.” 👍
I'm far too excited to know that at least one person heard it :D
