- “Double cleansing means cleansing your face twice, first with an oil-based product and then followed by a water-based cleanser. The first step of using an oil-based cleanser is helpful when it comes to removing waterproof makeup and sunscreen. While there are polarizing views on this amazing Korean techinque so people including dermatologists say it’s not a must, in my experience it’s a non negotiable. Even if you don’t wear makeup, but if you wear sunscreen ( I hope you do) it’s really difficult to break down with regular cleansers. I sincerely hope you try this out regularly for a few weeks and then take a call. Below are some of my favorites from most loved to least loved but loved nonetheless. 1. @@shrutisharma5024There is no point of using the same product twice. The essence of double cleansing lies in using a balm or oil based cleanser first (you can use micelar water if there is no makeup) and finishing off with a facial cleanser/face wash. ❤
Hey, I’m not a right person to question it, but a generic doubt, aren’t we also rubbing the dust/makeup/sunscreen or whatever is there on face along with the cleansing balm? 😅
It’s a fabulous question thank you so much for asking. While it may seem that we are rubbing our makeup sunscreen, dust and other impurities into our skin. It is unlikely because a good cleansing balms melts as it touches your skin so what you’re really doing is giving your skin a gentle massage and making sure that you’re bringing up all the impurities to the surface of your skin with this oil formula, as soon as you add water and wash it off, it will completely emulsify and will leave. No residue are going to cleanse your regular or creamy cleanser, which means if it all there are any impurities, they will get washed off..
A common way in which cleansing balms are used incorrectly is where people massage it onto the skin and then wipe it with a wet washcloth, by doing so you are not actively washing off the impurities that you have now brought to the surface of the skin. Therefore, every time you use a cleansing balm on dry skin massage for 60 seconds or more wash it off and always go in with the second cleanser. Hope this helps.
What about people who don't wear makeup? Is it ok to cleanse just once for them?
People who don’t wear makeup too should double cleanse since they wear sunscreen

Heard in video, scalp nourishing is also important. Bcoz it's weight comes on forehead skin. ??my scalp feel dry after hair wash. I do use sulphate free shampoo n conditioner. Hair is good. Or multipepti for scalp health.

use them in the morning but at night use cleansing balm then face wash bcz we use sunscreen in the morning and other types of dirt get stuck ..so it is necessary to double cleanse with oil or balm 😊
