Kayaking the Platte River - Ellenboro, WI - Platte Road to Big Platte Road - July 2023

Kayaking the Platte River in Platteville, WI. Put-in on Platte Road at the first concrete bridge (not metal bridge) which is a very good location with low banks and a grassy path. Take-out at Big Platte Road, also known as ‘The Big Bend’ by locals. This is a splendid 2 hour trip for the 5 miles and is arguably the best stretch of the Platte that is the most reliable for water levels.
