Ms. Horne has a way of making you feel comfortable. You soon forget that you are talking to the greatest singer in the world because there is no attitude, no pretension, she's a real human being who gives real advice and who cares very deeply for good singing and the people who do it.
That was GREAT!!!! Love her- such a good instructor- this will be my new piece to study after watching this truely masterclass- from complicated to ease
I'm looking everywhere and I can't find a recording or radio broadcast of Horne singing the Elgar Sea Pictures . I hope young instrumentalists also watch vocalist masterclasses . Horne is full of life like DiDonato and Schiff and Ciccolini . I've learned more here than with all my teachers . I didnt know that in early classical period music a phrase should have an arch ending quieter than started -even when they didn't use dynamics much until the Mannheim Sympnoniers .

I love Ms. Horne's instruction...you can just feel her own investment in helping these young singers improve. A pleasure to watch!
Thanks for watching

Beside her serious engagement for young Lied singers it's always a great pleasure to listen to Mrs. Horne whatever she tells... :)

At about 5.20 she sounds like Horne with that ingolata.
Mrs Horne is so cute.
very interesting perfomancem
It sounds like this mezzo has listened to a lot of Horne recordings.
It's funny, Ms. Jackman's voice sounds sort of similar to Ms. Horne's. :P
Very nice video. Horne though is almost unrecognizable, so old now.
What is the point of this stupid comment? She’s in her 80s here! 🙄
