- In this video I'll show you how to upgrade the firmware on the Jumper T8SG V2 Plus in Mac OSX and Windows. Please download the correct firmware for your transmitter or you can potentially brick it.

Anyone want to buy my Jumper T8SG Plus? When I went to update it, the screen looks like this now.
@@artest7 I had the same thing happen to me. I think you installed the wrong firmware. See my response on your comment below.

...I'm having problems and wonder if I need to buy another transceiver to bind to them, or if I'm maybe doing something wrong? Flying these little beauties was kind the reason for my getting this transmitter, so it was disappointing to have issues with these planes...
I'm not familiar with those planes. If you can find out what protocol they use, you can probably bind them. The deviationtx forums would probably be your best bet. They'll all eventually work when the devs can decode what protocol they use. But the manufacturers dont' make it easy.

MAC OSX USER>> Please correct me if I’m wrong but do I 1ST Dfuse USB Upgrade Tools 2.31.zip file which brings up Walkera Dfuse USB Upgrade Tools 2.31 2.exe file? 2ND the exe file Walkera Dfuse USB Upgrade Tools 2.31 2.exe ? Because, when i do that I hear the tone that it’s been complete but do not see anything else happen. No other programs are launched

It should work, make sure you choose FrSkyX in the protocol list.
For me as a new user alot of what you do is like charlie browns teacher to me, lol. I need even a little more detail, as you use so much geek slang i don't get.My fault, i didn't research the Jumper enough....I'm only windows mouse smart hehehe!!! Hiya there ken amazing job on firmware updates.Im new this is my first transmitter and setting up sticks and switches seems alittle over powering,Do you have any videos i want to set up and arm switch ,a speed switch,and an angle horizon acro switch and a buzzer if possible.been reading the manual but gets confusing.

Hi I had a problem update de firmware but after finish I have the screen black in my jumper the radio funtion get en usb mode and dfu mode and bind with my dron but I ser two black bats in the screen... Donyou have idea about some Solutions... I will apreciate your help... Thankss
You are running the wrong fw!! Try another one...
It is OCT 2020. Can u PLEASE tell me which (if any) version/update or upgrades will get my Yellow Jumper T8SG PLUS ver. 2 (last updated using deviation-t8sg_v2_plus-v5.0.0-9e9beec). Do I need to add/upgrade some hardware to this radio to get it up to current working condition?

Thanks for the video. My problem is that using your method, my T8SG will
not even go into USB mode. When I click and hold the power and enter
buttons as you did, the USB symbol appears but only as long as I hold
both buttons down. The moment I let go, the screen goes blanks and the
power lights turn off. If I try to enter the USB mode through the
deviation software in the transmitter menu, then the computer does
recognize it, but it tells me I need to format the device to use it, and
I haven't wanted to do this out of fear of making things words and
because I have no backup of my files. I can put this into Dfuse mode
just fine. Have you seen this? What could be wrong?
Will this work to get my T8SG to connect to my iMac to play Steam flight Simulator games? If not do you know how? Thank you.

you need to create a specific model for the simulator with protocol USB, then you connect with the usb cable, NO minijack. I hope I've helped!

HELP! MY SCREEN WENT BLANK: Can u please tell me which of these files I should be using to update the firmware on my Jumper T8SG Plus V2?
Same thing happened to me just now.
I thought mine was a V2 plus, which is the firmware I downloaded.
As soon as it went pear shaped, I tried downloading and reinstalling the V2 (not plus) version and it now seems good. (Phew!)

Hey, nice vid, one stupid q: If i flash firmware the transmitter will forget my model setups?
You can back them up. Put it into usb mode and copy all the files over.

June 8 2020 7:20pm PST: He Ken! I tried your firmware update and somewhere went wrong and now my screen is blank! I think it had something to do with the transmitter being labeled Devo and not Jumper during the update. Can u PLEASE help me to reinstall the software/firmware in order to get my radio back? I don't care about losing any models I may have added to it. Most of them are incorrect anyway and I'd rather start from scratch. So....Please Please can u (or anyone) give me instructions (or a link) that will show me how to do a clean reinstall using my Macbook Pro? Thank you in advance!

@@VladiG655 Hello! I got the same problem with upgrade tool 3.0.5. I switched back to tool 2.3, and tada! windows reacted to the TX. Then I upgraded with T8SGv2 Plus (i have carbonversion plus) and tried again. Ok no blackscreen but not readable because of blackbars. Then I tried flashing with T8SGv2 5.0.0 (without PLUS) and now it works!!! Hope I can help anyone out there!

Where did you find splascreen and bmp image? i've download some from the forum but i'dd like to find a zip file because i've download my icons one by one and it was so sloooow!
I've changed the splash screen, I will shortly make a video of it. You can also create your own icons with gimp or illustrator in bmp format, I will explain it in the video soon!
How do u activate the voice mode on the t8sg v-3 carbon fiber?

My transmitter won't go in usb mode what do i do now it wont turn on either
at 1:50 how do you extract files... doesnt give me any of those options only open, cut, copy, properties , and delete. super lost..
Right click on the .zip file. It will prompt with "Extract files?" dialog listed with other options.
Can i use it for walkera f210?
It should work. It supports the Walkera devo protocols. But I don't have experience with that quad.

Same for me! Fix is to load t8sg v2 FW not the ‘plus’ FW.

Has anyone been able to get this to work on windows 10? I have an older PC that I upgraded to Windows 10 and works fine. New Pc Intel 7 and Windows 10 no dice, will not work. It shows the device as STM32 but DFuse will not work. Have Devo 10 and Jumper the same results for both.

My Jumper T8SG V2 will not bind to the FrSky R-XSR Receiver in my new iFlight Nazgul 5. I tried all protocols that are Frsky protocols in the transmitter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Would be helpful if you could update this video for Windows 10. Following your exact steps for setting up drivers does not work in Windows 10. For the time being, I'm stuck with the stock version of Deviation tx. Grrrrr

Installation is done at 6:23. Afterwards that's using a different tool.. I guess you should clearly mention this so people wouldn't flash the firmware twice!

If yours works I wouldn't upgrade. I haven't updated mine in a long time. I only do it if a model doesn't work and maybe the protocol was updated

Were you able to repair yours? I was able to purchase a new motherboard from "Ali express"

@@quacksalber82 thanks for the info. I replaced the motherboard in mine and it works but I must have missed something (probably a wire somewhere in there) because the backlight doesnt work. Not a BIG problem as I dont fly in the dark but would be nice if it worked. Just scared to open it up again 😁. But all else works fine.

Try to quickly tap the power and release. Dont hold it.
