I like how Alex is widely regarded as one of cinema’s most evil, depraved, sadistic sociopaths, and yet Cartman fucked up Clyde way worse than how Alex did Georgie and Dim
Alex did sadistically rape a woman in front of her husband and drove her to suicide and crippled the husband. But yeah a 9 year old beating up his friends is worse
The whole time I was waiting for butters to run off like Pete when he saw the claws come out, and for anyone to make the mistake Dim made, still an accurate depiction
I'm from England... and when ever they put a reference in from a cult British film, it just makes me proud how versatile they are. Not only that but when they use these references in their own creations/scenes. Trey and Matt are basically genius.
Does that count as a brittish film? I mean it was directed by and produced by an American But was written by an English men So I think it's kind of a grey area
@@seansmith6255 it has an almost all British cast, was financed mostly by British cinema rather than Hollywood money, was filmed entirely in Southern England and set in a dystopian Britain, is based on a British book, and had a director who who permanently lived in the UK for a decade by that point, even if from New York originally. It would be a stretch not to call it a British film, just because Kubrick directed it.
I feel bad for Clyde and Bradley cuz they could've been taken to hospital after the situation with Cartman beating them both up so that he can "gain control". And this is why Cartman's my least favourite character.
Fun fact : Malcolm McDowell ( Alex from the movie ' A Clockwork Orange ' ) was in a episode of this series playing a story reader ( in live action / himself ) , i just don't remember the season and the episode
Noooo. Cartman's way too smart and conniving to be Dim. Dim was the epitome of a follower, as he was subservient to both Alex and Georgie. Alex even referred to him into the marina scene in the movie as a mindless bulldog. The only similarity Cartman has with Dim is appearance in comparison to the rest of the group. Both are the heaviest ones.
I love how they even got the smallest details from A Clockwork Orange correct
Right right
As which?

1:00 you can tell Kenny is pissed.
Mhm
Trey Parker and Matt Stone knew exactly what they were doing putting Clockwork Orange references into their superhero episodes
There's more than one?
Funny. As a superhero comic fan. I can now picture just about every superhero team doing an homage to clockwork orange like this.
@@davechurchill8711 What was the reference in the trapper keep episode? I'm surprised I would have missed it.

A memorable scene and very well represented

Where was Butters in all this? I think you mean Bradley Biggle.
Butters? He isn’t here man!

That's called Nadsat it's a fictional future slang that the youths use. Some of the words are actually Russian.
Wait, there's Russian in Nadsat?
@@Baldwin-iv445nadsat is mostly British pronunciation of Russian words mixed with cockney slang.
I saw this episode years before seeing A Clockwork Orange, so making the connection all that time later was pretty hilarious.
The same when me and my friend saw "They Live" glasses scene. 😂
Whether it be Stanley Kubrick movies, a batman video game, or an adult comedy series, the thieving magpie is immortal.
god bless south park
I love how the walking animation is smooth in slow motion until Clyde gets beaten up (sad moment).
I’ve taught you well my little droogies!
Thanks for uploading was trying to find this specific scene
I pulled a muscle laughing at this back in the day. And yes I’m being serious, I pulled an ab laughing lol
I love this so much it's just like in the movie, i wish i had watched the movie before seeing this episode though!!
Clyde got absolutely fucked up by Eric.

It's from The Thieving Magpie by Rossini. It's the same as the original movie, although different excerpts were used here and cut together.
