Great reaction. Listening to Radiohead for nearly 20 years and I wish I could go back to the moment I first heard Kid A. It is very much like you said, almost a movie soundtrack. A journey to a cold and lonely alien world, or the afterlife. It is unlike anything ever made. So many moments that will stay with you forever. You have very interesting insights about the musical techniques and mixing used to create this otherworldly feeling. How to Disappear is the obvious highlight but Kid A the song is crazy and the jazz outro of Optimistic into the chaos of In Limbo is incredible. The final track is also transcendent. Your emotional rollercoaster was the reaction many of us had, completely stunned by what we were experiencing. Hope you continue with this band, the next albums are also beautiful.
@@jfmgunner Thank you so much for this comment!! Kid A is something I’ve never heard of before, and after my experience with The Bends and Ok Computer, I had no idea that they utterly changed their direction
"How to disappear completely" to me is someone telling you "it will be fine" but you know that it wont be fine. The eerie background noise is the dread and the shallow comforting acoustic track is the person trying to assure you it will be fine
@@MarioAlfonsoGarzonCamacho aww thank you XD Well I just started three months ago, and I’ve been doing gaming vids as well, but I’m gonna quit it and do music only
in How to Disappear Completely, Jonny Greenwood play an Ondes Martenot, and early electronic instrument that give those unusually long eerie sustained notes. The Ondes Martenot was pretty much forgotten in time until Jonny revived it. Radiohead will start to use this instrument more and more in their discography from this point on.
Aw yeah I already reviewed it. I think Amnesiac in general has a very jazzy tone regardless of Life In a Glasshouse I do think it is very different from Kid A but very awesome
I'm hoping you react to all of their albums, although you certainly could skip the first one. One of the coolest things about Radiohead is how radically they evolved and just got away from the previous albums sound, but they still sound like Radiohead somehow.
@@jameshannagan4256 yep I did already XD (I filmed this video 4 months ago) But I only filmed the reaction to A Moon Shaped Pool My fav is probably In Rainbows, Ok Computer, and Kid A

That stick tho XD
It’s a quarter note between the 5th and b6th
我现在对kid A上头的不得了,how to disappear, motion picture soundtrack, national anthem, optimistic…. Not a single weak track on the album
Yeahhh. I have to say How to Disappear Completely is probably my favorite song ever from Radiohead
