    It's amazing to hear the the same patch run through different voice modes. I just got my Chorus/Reverb/Delay pedal today and will be putting it through the paces. Your lead becomes amazing at 6:00 when you kick that in. Well done!

      +Robert Saint John Thanks! I think we should do an INIT patch challenge on the forum. Everyone start with an INIT patch and you get 5 minutes or something to take it through a mangling process. Everyone upload a video. Sounds fun

    You've made the Minilogue sing! It looks lie this synth can sound smooth after all. Most demos I've heard had way too much resonance and over the top cross mod, etc. It's a cool little synth!

    Well, your videos have turned me around on getting the Minilogue. I had dismissed it for a while based on 95% of the videos out there that make it sound like it can't do warm vintage synth sounds. Apparently the problem was that 95% of people who've posted Minilogue videos don't know how to close a filter at all... Thanks for helping me decide this year's synth purchase. Also, great music and playing, :)

    Liking this alot..people almost seem a little affraid to praise the Minilogue too much but only judging from demos I'd say it covers most of my bases and if I would only be alowed one synth, this would be it. There...said it.

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад

      +Olle Andersson It does have some limitations, especially in the modulation routings. But it sounds full and alive and can do so much, I might have to agree with you.

    • @lloydpopp13
      @lloydpopp13 8 лет назад

      Hey bro is it possible to activate the vibrato / lfo like we used to do in mod wheel? Since it only has pitch cmiiw though....really lookin fwd for minilogue but thats my consideration...thx anyway

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад

      ***** You can assign the mod lever to all kinds of parameters. But not two at once unfortunately. So you could use it that way, but then you'd not have a pitch bend.

    • @lloydpopp13
      @lloydpopp13 8 лет назад

      Thank u so much for the reply man, really helps! Also 1 more question is it possible to assign it on 1 of the knobs? Or its already hv that modulation / vibrato knob on it?

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад

      +LLOYD POPP I"m not sure I understand the question. The vibrato is a combination of the LFO and rate knobs. You set the depth with the INT knob and the LFO target select on Pitch, then the rate with the Rate knob. You can assign the modulation lever to either one of those parameters.

      Earmonkey Music You are the first ownerwho describes it as warm :-) Still waiting for mine to discover!

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад +1

      +VolcaRock It can sound really warm. It can also sound brittle and harsh. If you listen to this at around 1:20 I think you'll see what I mean by warm. I also just put up a video with me just programming pads. Again, it can sound really warm to me, or brittle if you want it to also.

    • @ronnieperez7650
      @ronnieperez7650 8 лет назад +1

      +VolcaRock It definitely can sound very warm. It just happens to have a talent at making very immersive cold sounds.

      @VolcaRock 8 лет назад

      +Earmonkey Music +Ronnie Perez Thanks a lot guys for your input,
      Depending on what other synths you play "warm" is a subject opinion, we can not really measure it;-)

    @gilbertomelendez2401 7 лет назад +1

    hello, i just bought this and I'm trying to figure out how to have the a sequence going while at the same time playing over it. Is that possible? also I was wondering if you figure out how to save edited patches so that i can recall a sound whenever i want without having to tweak any knobs or look for the sound once again.

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  7 лет назад +4

      In order to really play over the top of a sequence you will probably need to make sure you're in Poly mode. Otherwise, the notes will just steal from each other. To save a patch, just press the WRITE button and it will ask you where you want to save the patch. Dial in the number of the patch you want to write to and hit WRITE again! There you go! have fun!

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  7 лет назад +2

      Thanks! The synths are really nice, and running them through the Roland tape delay really adds something. I like to think my patch programming and playing style has something to do with it too. lol

    • @doktoruzo
      @doktoruzo 8 лет назад

      Thanks for the reply. I was going to get one...just for messing about with really. I cannot play the keyboards. I was going to get a Mother 32 but this minilogue seems a better bet for the novice.

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад

      The Mother is better if you can't play keyboards I think. But the Minilogue might be a more accessible place to start if you don't know anything about synthesis. There are more knobs and no CV patch points

    I'm looking to get either this or a Korg ms-20 mini, and I can't really decide between the two. Does anybody have any recommendations? If so that would be amazing.

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад +1

      The advantage to the Minilogue is you can play up to four notes at a time while the MS20 only plays one. But the MS20 has way more possibilities for designing sound. If you want to play keys this might be a better choice. But if you want to go crazy with sound design, the MS20 might better suit you. The Minilogue is also much easier you approach.

    Hey man,
    When I'm using my sequencer and change the filter knob. It change the sound. But when I release the knob. The filter also goes away.
    How is this possible? Can you help me

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  5 лет назад

      Not sure I understand. HAve you recorded a motion sequence? If you have, then the filter setting is being adjusted by the sequencer to whatever you recorded. You can clear the motion sequencing and see if that fixes it. Cheers!

  • @drouk22
    @drouk22 8 лет назад +1

    i hope the sequenceur is not the same as the krome sequenceur, because the krome sequenceur...stop... after it reach 999 measures....i dont want that, i want the sequenceur never stop, infinite loop.

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад

      +drouk22 As far as I know this will play forever. It's a whole new design. If i understood what they were saying at NAMM, it's really a ground-up synth. So they didn't pull stuff from other synths.

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  8 лет назад

      I don't understand. It has 16 steps only. It will loop and loop. It will only play the sound you have active because it is not multi timbral

    • @drouk22
      @drouk22 8 лет назад

      the korg krome sequenceur loop and loop too but when reach 999 measures, it stop

      peanut monkey 1. The description describes the setup with the FX used. 2. You can plug it in to something that amplifies sound and it'll work. Not just speakers. Active speakers, probably but there is only one output. 3. No.

    Can you alternate between sequences by switching between patches?

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  7 лет назад

      Yes you can! So you could actually save the same patch to several presets, and have a different sequence for each one. I do not recall though how it works with the timing. I think the change is immediate so you might have some issue with the clock if you don't hit the change right on.

    • @EverettDudgeon138

    HOW MANY MINIMOOG SOUNDS CAN YOU GET OUT OF THE MINILOG? HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT ADDING A KORG MONOLOG 299.00

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  7 лет назад

      DENNIS BEBEBEBE I preordered a Monologue. Not sure you're going to get too much Minimoog out of the Minilogue. In mono mode it can get pretty thick when you dial in a couple of suboscillators. But it's nowhere near as powerful sounding as a Moog
