Good knowledge.. But best way is that.. Once you target the middle point where you drill the Borwel.. Stand there and walk other directions. And count the steps.. One step is 10 feet.. So walk 8/10 steps if the L rod turns back direction that mean /8 is the 80 feet.. Water going to be start or rock bed i(casing)

Hey man this is how we find our water line out here in Oklahoma . My dad showed me when I was a kid I use it now , I never asked the rods how deep just used them to find a water line or electric line . We just dug till we hit our target. Shows you where to dig for sure but I’ll have to try asking my rods next time lol. Oh yeah we call our rod Ouija sticks. Some kinda magic I guess.
I agree with you this method is mixing other things to the proven technique many human are able to find water. my friend method was to measure the distance from the point the rods or pendula start to pull until the center bud i never was really able to get teached from him about the deep and quantity of flow

Not necessarily, because you actually need scientific tools and tests to know something like that.
