Crafted for only the classiest murder mysteries.
There is one, by Jonathan Gash, a Lovejoy novel entitled "The Judas Pair".
I always come back to this video, this is simply the most incredible antique ever and one of the most beautiful pieces of engineering I’ve ever seen.
What a treat to see. I’m a former submarine repairman and I love all things mechanical, in particular automatons. Exquisite! Pure folly and a joy to behold.
Gosh what a beautiful description, I could not have said it better
Incredible! That something so complex could survive in working condition for long.
simple ,,, it wasnt made in China.
Those pistols was only in hands of rich intellectuals mostly and they don't really own them just to play with...
I had read about these! Some will reject these as frivolous and decadent; but the work and thought that went into making these defies immagination. Do care for them, not because of their price or their gold, but because of the amazing artistic weight they possess!
That is amazing. The engineering for that time period just stunning. That is an amazing piece of art even now.
No one makes works of art like this anymore...
Because they can't. Nobody starts apprenticing at 12 anymore
Now is the time for us see something so beautiful with absolutely no purpose other than to be enjoyed!
"It's yo boy RUclips Recommendations, back at it again, with bird guns"
Yep, yt finally getin ai to somewhat work, maybe
OK this cracked me up, thank you- you read my mind haha.
lmao..
Ebonics, when did they become so coool?
Sooo random...🤔
The comments: "doesn't shewt bullits, is crap"
Grow up you little unappreciative shits, this thing is amazing. It's very pretty and pleasing aesthetically, in addition to having a impossibly complicated clockwork mechanism inside it, incredibly advanced for the time peroid it was made in. I genuinely said wow when i saw the little bird pop up and start moving in such a detailed way.
I mean, it's made of fucking diamonds ffs.
"You little unappreciative shits." hahaha xD
What? Don't shit bullets. Nope, not watching this, also disliking.
If I wanted a singing bird, I wouldn't buy a gun. I'd buy a fucking bird.
it doesnt shewt bullets though
ozipk Then don't forget to destroy everything that you can find in museums, it was mostly commissioned by rich people, made by useless artists who could be helping people, and destroy building with interesting architetural features too, again rich people... I could go on all day.
It's because they are priceless relics. They were beautifully crafted, the bird looks real, & the song from the bird sounds even realer. So crazy to see the craftsmanship of 200yrs ago still working & looking brand new. Throwing a boomerang of respect from Wilmington Delaware 2020.
To me this is 1000X cooler than any painting ever made
My lovebirds started singing when they heard the opening. :)
“THIS IS A ROBBERY! PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!”
“AAAH!”
“Tweety tweety tweet tweet.”
“Oops, wrong one...”
ok holdup, If a guy had these pistol in his possession, then why in the world would he rob a bank? The pistol themselves already has more cash than someones entire savings!
@@Brave_Brevity r/wooooooosh, I liked your comment anyways.
Mewza 😂😂😂
Ahhaha
...as in wrong pistol? lol haha very good
1:48 I guess that's how you flipped the bird in the old days...
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💖💖💖💖
I am so fascinated by this masterpiece, that I got this video actually on repeat !!! I can´t stop watching it !!!
*****MESMERIZING*****
The workmanship is awesome , imagine sitting down with the thought of making two of those. , incredible !!!
would be wonderful to hear these artifacts unaccompanied by the background music
I had a dream about a music box housed in a little gold piano. What was so extraordinary about it were the tiny golden hands which moved on the keys as it played...
SaintTrinianz that sounds amazing, do you remember the tune that the music box played?
Stay off the drugs.
Sounds like a drug detox dream.....

Utterly beautiful.
Absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!!!! Now that is a gun I’d like to own!! I wish all guns had singing birds 🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖💖 i am in utter AWE
Oh my God! I've been after a pair of these since childhood!!! Price is no object! Psych!
Guys.. This is art.. like a painting or a sculpture. Stop saying they should shoot bullets. that's like saying an ice sculpture is worthless cause you can put it in your drink... art has many forms, this is one of them. Their value comes from the value someone places on them. Like a painting... why is a painting by Michaelangelo worth millions? Because the paint cost that much ? No.... because of its beauty to the people who appreciate it. Just like these guns...
The most beautiful thing ever created
Making elegance and thing of astounding beauty with a bird’s song out of something so deadly is a fine thing to behold indeed.
An amazing example of brilliant micro engineering!
Still AMAZING to rewatch!!!
They are magnificent works of art
I Think it would be just beautiful to hear the beautiful little bird sing a sweet song of happiness just before you blow someone’s head off. Now that’s the real way of giving someone the bird!
Never seen anything like it .....so creative and beautyful.....the pearl inlay is simply divine and I am enchanted!!!
This is a testament to human ingenuity.
Truly amazing and wonderful work of art. Priceless!
Amazing and gorgeous craftsmanship!
A pair of singing-bird pistols made of gold and inlaid with gems sold for HK$45.5 million ($5.8 million) at a Christie’s International sale in Hong Kong yesterday.
לכל מי שרצה לדעת !
What the heck is this? It’s just strangely beautiful.
Pawn Stars offered them 400 bucks because they assume all the risk. lol
I got a friend who's an expert in singing bird pistols
Giggles
laxboss55 😂🤣😂🤣😂 i can’t believe that
Just because its rare doesn't mean its valuable. We can offer you spot price for the gold and diamonds.
What risk? Sounds more like a robbery
3:00 A stag and a lion? So they are Joffrey's pistons?
Joffery's Pistons are the most upper crust basketball team of all time.
Who knew there was even ONE 'Singing Bird Pistol'? The price seems rather low, considering the miraculous nature of the objects. What was the eventual selling price?
That is the beginning of the computer technology ,truly beautiful!
These are priceless just look at the extradinary craftsmanship. I would believe it 1 million US dollars. I would have loved to have met the man who made these pair of bird pistols.
A masterpiece of 18th century
I'd love to know the provenance behind this set.
stag and lion- This must be how the Lannisters and Barratheons finally achied piece
😍 idk why but i need this. Im OBSESSED with over engineered artwork AND firearms.
these belong in a museum . .. and perhaps blueprinted
Oooooo.....so beautiful and such genius!
How amazing and beautiful. Gone are the days of real craftsman. I wonder who they were made for? I suspect the Russian Tsar as they had an eye for rare beauty which no other Monarch has even come close too
Perfect instruments.
Beautiful.
Just amazing tha sound ,tha look extraordinary . Thanky u for demonstrateing an amazing pair of pistols .
Wonderful 🐦
Incredible.
You just don't see craftsmanship like this anymore. It's both a work of science as a functionally/mechanically genius set of blueprints, and a work of art in the choices made for ornamentation and negative/positive space ratios, down to the bird's feathers.
Salute for craftman and his skills.
Is that a joke? What's the use of this thing? I initially thought like "Whoaaa, a small pistol that taunts your enemies after you shoot them by pulling out a singing bird"... Then i realized that no... the singing bird the is the main and only feature... Glad someone bought that for 5 millions.
It's a collectible art-piece, and as you may know, art has no real use, it's pretty.
are you shitting me dude? the mechanics of this piece are fucking genius, especially for its time. its encrusted with goddamn diamonds and pearls and made of gold. go play cod or something
Dude what the honest fuck?
its not real dummy
I have my window opened and at first thought the bird sounds from the video were from some weirdass bird outside.
Fascinating 😍
Is it just me that wishes to buy these things as gifts for others, giving is addictive 😂
Do they have one in 500 Smith and Wesson Magnum? Asking for a friend.
I believe that the 500 S&W model has an Albatross that comes out when you pull the trigger.
That is really awesome
churr bro. Fugn amazing & absolutely fantastically fantastic
gorgeous
incredible
What do you get the couple who already has everything? His and hers matching whistling pistols. This New Year. Even the 1 percent will be envious.
What do you get a couple who has everything??.............Shots of Penicillin!
Rick from Pawn Stars: I'll give you 5 bucks for them both.
He's taking a risk.
Tazdingo and get them framed 😆
Amazing!!
Thank you.
sublime
Amazing
what's the piece playing in the background?
wow incredible
When that little bird came out i felt deeply at peace with the world
Thank you Royal Pains!
I needed these to be real guns.
Beautiful. What year were they made?
Add to Amazon wish list
AMAZING!!!!
before youtube you couldnt really experience this unless you knew about them meven then may be in a vault. were so lucky
Perhaps these were dueling pistols. Can you imagine the looks on their faces when they pulled the triggers?
I want to know who the previous and current owners are.
or if they were anonymous what other items of interest caught their attention.
so cool!
Well how much did they go for?
Magnificent.
Interesting conversations pieces.
No CAD. No CNC. Pure genius. Or madness...
For some reason i could not stop thinking about the pieces of crap people call art now. This is real art.
yes but do they fire??
Think about the mind that made this, some kind of Einstein .
Who made that
i saw some damage to the case
Awsome...
What is a bird pistol exactly? What is it used for?
Oh-my-word... ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I want this on next borderlands game
Exquisite
Bubo from C.O.T. would have been the better bird option in the “piston” gun. Nice to know that kRishtaes auction house knows how to comumitate properly to their costamards when selling your goods with a resounding bang of the hammer!! Such refinement old chap. .
1820
And people don't believe
Me when I tell them about the airgun Lewis and Clark expedition had that was very good
That's the kind of weapons the world needs.
IT'S EUROPEAN JOHN MALKOVICH
I think John Malkovich, Werner Herzog and Christoph Waltz contributed some sperm to make this narrator.
Can I have the recipe?

This is far more beautiful than all of Picasso's paintings put together
If someone were to take this to pawn stars, Rick would be like “ehh I’m telling you right now man, it’s a beautiful work of art but the things are just gonna sit on the shelf here and do nothing, I’ll give you $10,000 for both”.
Customer: “You can’t go any higher?”.
Rick: “Nope”
Reality says: the price is in the millions idiot
And your point is what ? put the friggin thing up for auction he's not an auction house he can't possibly know about everything what you don't seem to get is 30 percent of what they buy they over payed for you know nothing about buissnes
I want a replica that doesn't cost 5 million dollars.
