    Such a satisfying ending. Love it. I work for a big company that stocks parts for the machines we service and they send me higher voltage caps all the time.

    I just bought the same machine from some on craigslist… works pretty good but have a few issues… the guy who I bought it from said he replaced the water pump….. when I watch your video I notice the water is just trickling over the evaporator… mine is gushing over the evaporator… causing the ice to take a very long time to freeze…

      Might be a wrong pump or distribution rail was put wrong. there is inner tube in distribution rail that has to go certain way. Holes on inner tube should face opposite of otter tube holes. And check if your machine constantly gets fresh water thru the float valve if so, then it keeps supplying warm water due to possibly bypassing dump valve

      @@MaratRPMSoCal Pump is correct and rail system is assembled per specifications… I was kinda grasping at straws with the water flow issue… but here is the story:
      In the beginning ice was very thin.. after one cycle the ice would hang up and not drop and then a new cycle would begin. So I was getting very thick ice (frozen twice). It would harvest and drop into the bin. I adjusted the cut in pressure by turning the screw clockwise several times on the timer initiate (pressure control). This made the ice thicker,….. but I’m still having the same problem… ice is to thin and light to drop off the evaporator… then the cycle starts again and I get a extra large (frozen twice) block of ice that fall off the evaporator.
      How many times can I turn the timer initiate (pressure control)? I think I have turned it 5 complete clockwise revolution but it doesn’t seem to be getting any thicker…
      Any suggestions?

      o increase@@salmonkiller2545 I usually dont adjust pressure control. pressure control initiates timer not harvest. on the timer you can adjust how much longer you want it to run after pressure switch calls for harvest, there are pins on the timer - those numbers are seconds to add to defrost you can combine those pins to get more or less time for freeze after pressure switch initiated

      @@MaratRPMSoCal I slid ALL seconds to the “on” position on the timer prior to adjusting the timer initiate(pressure control).. seemed my only option was to adjust the pressure control. Thoughts ??

    you can always use a higher voltage rated capacitor in place of a lower one, as long as the capacitance range is the same.(starting or run caps) the manufacture actually cheaped out there on the lower voltage rating cap, I'm sure it's too close to actual start voltage peak value for comfort!
    but NEVER use a lower voltage rated cap as replacement! unless you like loud explosions and capacitor fluid blowing all over ;)
    I'd have been afraid that original cap was bad or weak and may have caused the start failure and burnt wire.

      👍. Thanks for a tip. I have done lower voltage start cap before 😬 and had a lesson))

    Hi I have an ice o matic ice machine ,, it automatically trips on the ice setting but on wash setting doesn’t trip the electrics. You think it’s a relay problem ?

    • @MaratRPMSoCal
      @MaratRPMSoCal  2 года назад

      Something is grounded. Need to troubleshoot. Might be relay or compressor, or just wire touching body of ice machine somewhere. It’s hard to say without troubleshoot.
