I was a Dealer for Nationwide modular homes in the 1970s and early 1980s I sold and installed several 2 and 3 section homes. People would say it’s a double wide I would have to tell them the difference these homes are built and shipped 100s of miles and stay in this almost perfect shape proves the build quality. There was always minor cosmetic damage to touch up but nothing much.
Boy I just look at a video of a double wide move yesterday on another channel and that poor thing had cracks coming from each corner of each window and doors in every room so I expected to see that today and amazing none!! So maybe the difference in a build from years ago as to today!!!
Kids "dirt shadows". As a mom of 4 and a Mimi of 7, I love that term and plan to use it often. Haha You guys look rested and happy today. And, everyone said AMEN
I am not surprised at all that the house move went well. Those people were clearly professionals and Sam always builds stuff super sturdy. Win win combo.
Love, love you guys! Can’t wait to see what you do. I love mobile homes. As I get older and am a widow, I am thinking more and more about moving into a “trailer” since it’s just me and my fur babies. I don’t need this nine room two story to take care of for many more years or the seven acres. I’m sure God has a plan for me as well.
@Linda Schoolcraft Hi Linda! Mobile home...trailer people always got a bad name. Back in the mid '80's I chose to live in a trailer for many reasons. Less space to heat means less electricity means less money and less space to have to CLEAN!!😃 With the money I saved on taxes, which is a great saving from a house and kept my expenses down from smaller footprint, I afforded to travel, take lengthy vacations and spend time with extended family I normally wouldn't be blessed with. Trailer living is where it's at! Hubby and I just bought a used and demolished on the inside, mobile home and are remodeling it for our forever home. Future proofing for our golden(or should I say silver😆) years and this will be my last.🤞 I think your thoughts of going smaller would be an asset to you and your lifestyle,(no matter what other people think) trailers are a cozy, less expensive but just as nice as a house, alternative way of living. There is another RUclipsr's that is fixing up a used mobile home. Her name is Merina. Her and her husband do great diy's on their home. Fearfully Creative is their channel. Remodel on a budget is their motto. They have to! They have 4 kids!!😂 Just be sure to get someone who knows about mobile home, if that's what you decide, and get a well built one! There is some out there that ain't worth burning for the heat!! Good luck and blessings on whatever you decide! Have a blessed week!
If I was you Linda ,Id sell that big house . And get a small house ,maybe 2 bedroom for you . So you have room, for kids our grandkid visits . Plus space rent is getting so high ,on mobile home spaces .
@@doedoe49Hi Paula! This is true. But Linda has 7 acres. Could easily sale 6 acres and still own her own land and home, and be totally out of debt. Again, reducing her expenses and have the security of owning her own home on her own property and with only one acre to have to upkeep. That is is our situation. We own our land and our home, out right so taxes and upkeep are minimal. With a 2 bedroom, 2 bath mobile home, we have 4 grandkids and a great nephew that all have their own sleeping space(triple bunk beds we built together and a queen size mattress the oldest sleeps on, with their own t.v., 🎮 gaming and vcr/DVD player. They love their room! The great nephew sleeps on the big sectional with me. He's still young and his mom has spoiled him to sleep with her so I sleep on one section and he on the other and fall asleep watching the Grinch😃(his favorite movie) and still afforded a week vacation at a condo at the beach with all of them plus 2 older granddaughters!🤗 It is a sweet and blessed life💖🙏💖 Very thankful!

We were in the moving and set up of manufactured homes. The we watched the move the crew did. Very professional job. Bringing it down backwards was amazing to see. That crew was great. So glad to see there is not any damage. Good job!!!!
Welcome to East, TN. What part are you in? I live in Newport, which is about an hour east of Knoxville and 30 minutes from Dollywood. Thank you for sharing your moving adventure. My mom and I watched it together and she had to close her eyes as they were bringing your home off the hill. LOL I am so thankful you had very minor damage with such a drastic move. I am so excited to see your upcoming videos and watch you build your Homestead. I do not live on a Homestead, per se, but I do have chickens, geese, turkeys and goats. I also live in a converted barn! LOL
I think you have the right idea to work on the house before moving back in. Work goes so much faster when you don't have to move stuff around to get into the areas to work.
My home was moved an hour road trip loaded all I did was wired all the cabinets laid the dressers over. They put it in and had to do a move very high off the ground. Mr Simmons new his work. So did the guys that moved this one. Very blessed
So glad everything on the honey do list is only easy, superficial fixes! Yay!! You're in tornado alley now. Spring is sometimes wild here, and unavoidable. So please consider that, before remodeling too much now. Summer is usually a calm weather time here. Might want to delay any construction til then. And build a sturdy tornado shelter on your property. It saves lives. Take care. 💖
FYI. They do have tornadoes in NC. It is wise to have a shelter though. I'm in Wisconsin. When I had my mobile it was anchored well. But the park I was in had a shelter for residents. Now in Senior housing. I am disabled and mo longer able to do yard work etc.
Maybe build one UNDER THE TRAILER, as the joke says….. Why does god take out trailers? Cause that’s gods way of Cleaning out Trailer Trash!!!!!! LMFAO!
Actually your home faired very well for that move, you definitely can expect some small stress cracks in various walls, whats impressive is the install of the windows and doors and that they operate great after that move, means you did well on that install at original location. 👏 KUDOS GUYS.
Just a suggestion instead of a sliding glass door what about French doors. It gives you a wider opening if you need to bring items in and out. We had sliding doors and i was always having a hard a time carrying things in from they outside. :)
Sandra WestleyUK, French doors are nice but if you live in a windy area they can be taken out of your hand and smashed, as you can guess I speak from experience, we had doors fitted on our present house, 2 sliding doors that part, they give you the same open space as French doors but are safe with wind, there like 2 pocket doors that slide apart.
Hope this doesn't break any rules: "Green Acres is our place for good!!! 15 acres is all ours too love. Our land stretching out as far as we can see!!! Darlin' I love you for making our dreams come true!!!" I had to send that to you, been holding onto it for a while now, makes me happy to be able to send it to you finally!!! Congrats on the successful move!!! I'm so happy for you all!!! Take care, stay safe, healthy and happy!!! Hugs n Love to ya all!!! 😊
Congratulations guys! Considering the stress the house went through, this was a very successful move. I understand how strange it is to look at the window and see something else. We moved my aunt’s house and to see everything the way it was inside and something completely different out the window is really surreal!
I just LOVE the view out your windows! I like seeing the woods one direction and open fields the other. The view you have while doing dishes in the kitchen is dreamy. So happy for you that you get to live this life! Thanks for taking us along with you.
I just accidentally found your show last night. You two are down to earth people. Very interesting so far. I've subscribed so I'm waiting old shows and catching up . The move was interesting and I love the apple and pear orchard.
Yay! So thankful there's only superficial cracks and whatnot from the move! I bet you're right about the floors just being more level. Prayers for monetary blessings and endurance with living in the camper while you prepare your "new" home for dwelling in it!!
Those superficial cracks could be from the house being on a new level rather than from the actual transport. I love the views from your windows and I know y’all will enjoy living in the home-when you get everything put back in.
When you live in tornado-prone areas, this is a MUST!!! 7 people lost their lives a month ago near here because they didn't have a reinforced underground shelter, please plan for this ASAP!
Sam, With the help of the Lord, you and Angelia got this. Just take your time and don’t get overwhelmed. You two have already done do much, just keep the faith and push forward. Thanks for another great video. May God continue to bless you and Angelia and those two precious boys of yours.
THEY DID AN AWESOME JOB MOVING YOUR HOME SAFELY SAME AND ANGELA, GOD WAS SURELY WATCHING OVER IT ALL THE WAY. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE UPCOMING VIDEOS AND GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
That go pro was fun. You could hear it creaking. I saw something slide across the floor. This is going to be interesting. I agree it’s easy to get caught up in doing way too many projects. I’m just thrilled the house is there and it’s officially home.
What a beautiful view you all have out your windows. Just as the camera was panning up in the kitchen, a bird trilled outside, and it just sounded so serene and lovely.
I am elated to see that the move was successful! You always have a doable master plan that looks to the future. Thoughts and prayers for some restful days ahead!
Happy to see those hairline crack are all you had in this move, I am still in awe of way your home was transported. By the way Angela i keep forgetting to mention how long and pretty your hair is, it very flattering.
I had a 16*80 that I had moved from town to the farm about 15 miles I was a nervous wreck. I wired the cabinets together so they would fly open and all my dishes. I took out all the heavy furniture, laid the TV in the floor, removed things off the wall. Once it made it to the farm it had to be padded across the corn field and pulled by a tractor and pushed by the hauler. Once inside I discovered a horseshoe hanging on the wall. I do have 1 suggestion make sure all your windows raise and close. They sometimes get in a bind. Your trailer looks like it is home.
I know this is 2 years old. I hope your repairs and new projects went well. Being late to the party I get to binge watch your progress. You two were so calm. I was totally freaking out when we had our double wide delivered to our little sliver of property. It is new or was 15 years ago. A neighbor friend took pity on me and brought his truck over and just sat with me speaking calmly to me. Even though this was a brand new home there were drywall cracks that had to be repaired. WE did have our septic tank set but we did all the ground work with leach lines and hook up ourselves. In 20 years flipping houses we changed out 3 septic tanks and put in two new ones. One was a little log cabin we built. Yes on the river in the mountains of Idaho. Working on an art project I am going to run through some more of your videos. Thanks for sharing this.
Awesome on the minimal damage. Exciting plans!! So glad the move is behind you!! You can be glad it is just that summer is just starting. Lots of outside time ahead. Also want to thank you for doing this video so quickly. I was dying. Lol
We have been following you guys progress and love watching. We have an 80x60 sliding glass that is yours for the asking. We recently moved to Benton ky. so we should be close. Not sure about the cost savings but it could be significant. Good luck guys. God Bless.
Great video. Glad your home transported in one piece. It was nice to see each of your input especially Angela discussing the window views! The views are fabulous. Love the huge flat land. I hope you build a huge deck for barbecues. House could use a painting. I'm so happy for your family. Now tell the boys what awesome parents they have!
So awesome that it turned out so well. It was so weird seeing it going down the yard in NC, I just knew something was going to be bad!!! Can’t wait to see how things play out from here. 💗
SO GLAD YOU DIDNT HAVE ALOT OF DAMAGE AND IT WONT TAKE YOU LONG TO GET IT ALL FIXED AND GET MOVED IN AND GET TO FINISH THE OTHER THINGS YOU WERE GOING TO DO
I bet you two are relieved,no damage!Nothing wrong with forward thinking, just kind of sucks that the economy isn’t on your side, but I know y’all got a plan 😀. Now the busy work begins on top of running your businesses 😳. Good thing it’s daylight savings time. Stay safe God bless
Angela, when you were talking about the boys' window and what they could see, it sounded like you were about to cry. I know this had made you so happy. Congratulations about everything that has happened to you guys, it's so amazing.
Yes, this is the time to do a number of those renovations, fixes, etc... And yes, drywall and sanding creates fine dust. And yes, the Rv trailer is multiple steps away from the house ........ Maybe once you get the CO you can begin to stradle living between the two residences? It certainly makes absolute sense to do a top down, complete cleaning withiut the furniture et al! Even if you keep a clean house, there are nooks, crannies, and corners that just don't get reached as well as others; and your house is pretty darned clean. It will be interesting to see which projects you tackle in what order as you reassemble, repair, and mini remodel along.
The move was not only amazing…I thinks it’s safe to say it was a success😅 love the thoughtful planning idea it makes perfect sense and the more you do now..life is going to be so much less stressful later…you can enjoy just living 😉☺️🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
Bet you guys are so relieved that it made it all in one piece! That is a smart idea to renovate any and all before your inspected, septic in and all that..so happy for you guys!
Love the views from all your windows! You plans all make sense and as it is nice weather now maybe it will seem a little less cramped in the camper while you work on the things you want in your home. I really like the idea of large covered porches to sit and appreciate the products of your labors!
Glad to see that your home made it in one piece. A few little minor cracks, but nothing you folks can't fix. . You really do have a new home when you can look outside your windows and see whole new views! Awesome!
We have 4 mobile homes that have been moved several times without any damage beyond some popped trim . I figured it would travel well. So nice to see you both happy. You gotta love the "project creep".
I honestly wasn't surprised to see that the damage was minimal and superficial. Great planning on holding off on some projects until after the move. We also had planned to repaint our interior after our house move. It made repairing the cosmetic cracks seem not as frustrating. Pick and choose the projects you know you can finish so you don't get overwhelmed.
We put sliding doors in our kitchen about 7or 8 years ago and they were a great addition to our mobile home. We added a very large deck. It has actually become the main entrance that we use all the time.
Lol! I gotta start backwards!!😃 Love the facial expressions and "goofy" faces trying to get the camera lighting right!!😆😂 Ain't sure if y'all realize the smiles and laughter y'all spread...just being y'all!!🤗 So now onto the serious part! Seriously...y'all are great carpenters because if y'all hadn't done things the right way to begin with, then y'alls job now would be HUGE!! KUDOS for doing it right to start with!!👏 Now for the heart felt stuff. I couldn't be happier for a wonderful, kind hearted, giving, happy, sharing, hard working, loving, deserving family if y'all was my favorite cousins!!💖 Big hugs and congratulations on a successful move to your forever homestead!! ......P.S. Glad to see the recliner is safe and sound!😂🤣 Have a blessed week!!
Just remember to vent your dryer to the outside when you under pin it. I’ve seen ppl use the cut ends of metal roofing for under pinning. You can normally get those pieces less than 3 ft real cheap. Or any with blemishes.
@@darleneclark6098 there are places that make those roofing panels from rolls of flat metal. Taylor Metal is my closest place. Those are the best places. Other places sell the 24 ft pieces of metal and cut to length for your job. Those are the second best places to buy the metal. Ex coop’s farm stores smaller building supply places. You can ask these ppl that install the metal roofing where they get their materials too. Even if you get the blemished sheets who cares first time someone weed eats near it it will get a few blemishes. But it will only scratch instead of knocking a hole in it like the vinyl.
I found that my house was not level where it was originally so it took a while for all the steel beams to twist back to level after it was moved. I was blessed with a concrete pad on my new property. After I got settled and things fixed my Mother blessed me with a double wide and the beams had to settle in once it was set in place too. the sounds were a bit disconcerting. I am so happy for all of you. I pray GOD continues to bless you and give you the strength and finances to get all you want to do done.
Excited to see you all settled in your home with electricity lol and being able to sit on a nice deck with a drink in hand , planning your next projects .😀 Have you decided on what animals your having on the homestead?. Apart from your chickens..
Yahoo..... its good to know that some companies that move mobile homes are careful and cautious. They must have a great reputation. I'm glad you have minimal work. I am also looking forward for your makeovers
Hey there Sam and Angela. I wanted to comment and say I am in a similar boat with your mindset where I bought a DW and it needs a ton of renos and only bought the house not the land where it is out in the country. I wanted to tell you that especially watching your home being moved and your exciting tour of the house afterwards is truly an inspiration and that is something I will be experiencing here in Eastern Central Texas myself when I save the money to move my home (OMG its expensive as my house is a 2004 Clayton 32X72). I know my home is going to be a huge undertaking as I also am a big DIYer and firstly replacing the entire roof myself since I am on a strict budget but please know there are people like me who really enjoy seeing yalls life experiences especially you having a manufactured home (I hate them called a trailer, its a home) and Sam I wish I had your brain on how to do so much that I am learning as I go and being "RUclips Certified" in a lot of ways and Angela, you have a keen eye for detail and that we share. Blessings on your continued journey and I am always excited to see what's next. Cheers from Texas.
I know it was a lot of work but you’re home! Minimal damage, if any at all really: and you have tremendous views! It would be heaven to sit on a big front porch and admire that view and all you’ve accomplished! We can’t wait to see what’s next. God bless y’all!
Thanks so much for sharing your life. I am a lurker at times. Your last video showed up in my feed and I wanted to see how your home moved and how well it survived. We moved a trailer 24 years ago. It was a pretty neat experience, like yours.
Hi guys. I am so happy that the damage to your home was minimal. Looking forward to watching your family etch out a new chapter in your life. Can’t wait to see what’s next for your family.
Most of the damage looks like what you'd expect from normal settling. To my untrained eye anyway. Well done. Looking forward to all the future videos. Take a breather now for a minute or two. However I'm sure you are both back at it because who can sit back and relax when you can see all the things you want to get done! Hi from Australia

Thanks for the tour. Your home still looks well put together.
Lol
So happy most of the items to fix are minor! Happy to continue watching both of you settling into your new homestead. 😄
We have been following you guys progress and love watching. We have an 80x60 sliding glass that is yours for the asking. We recently moved to Benton ky. so we should be close. Not sure about the cost savings but it could be significant. Good luck guys. God Bless.
I LIKE YOUR PLANNING AHEAD, PRIORITIZING, SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE BOTH ON THE SAME PAGE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT
So glad no major damage. God bless all of you.
Hi Sam Angela & boys, your home made it very well for such a long trip.I am so happy for you that there was no major damage.Have a great week! 👏🏻🌷😊👍🏻
Hello 👋 Linda, how are you doing?
Great video. Glad your home transported in one piece. It was nice to see each of your input especially Angela discussing the window views! The views are fabulous. Love the huge flat land. I hope you build a huge deck for barbecues. House could use a painting. I'm so happy for your family. Now tell the boys what awesome parents they have!
Yay! All moved and no damage. I love your new place; the views are awesome.
Congratulations! So happy that everything went well! ❤️🙏🏼
Thanks for inviting us into your home.
Sounds like you got some great renovation plans.
Can't wait to see them happen
The best to you and the family
So awesome that it turned out so well. It was so weird seeing it going down the yard in NC, I just knew something was going to be bad!!! Can’t wait to see how things play out from here. 💗
Glad to see that there was minimal damage 👍👍👍good luck to your family.
SO GLAD YOU DIDNT HAVE ALOT OF DAMAGE AND IT WONT TAKE YOU LONG TO GET IT ALL FIXED AND GET MOVED IN AND GET TO FINISH THE OTHER THINGS YOU WERE GOING TO DO
Hello 👋 Deborah, how are you doing?
I bet you two are relieved,no damage!Nothing wrong with forward thinking, just kind of sucks that the economy isn’t on your side, but I know y’all got a plan 😀.
Now the busy work begins on top of running your businesses 😳. Good thing it’s daylight savings time.
Stay safe
God bless
Angela, when you were talking about the boys' window and what they could see, it sounded like you were about to cry. I know this had made you so happy. Congratulations about everything that has happened to you guys, it's so amazing.
Success! Good to see there was no major damage.
Us too!!!
sanity = good sanataion lol , u go guys , u made it kool
Really happy for you guys that it's minimum maintenance required after the move, looking forward to the new renovations 👍
God bless you guys! I am so happy for you! May God continue to pour out blessings and graces on you and the boys.
The move was not only amazing…I thinks it’s safe to say it was a success😅 love the thoughtful planning idea it makes perfect sense and the more you do now..life is going to be so much less stressful later…you can enjoy just living 😉☺️🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
I hope you are safe! Watching live weather and tornado watches near I-40 through Tenn.! Prayers for safety for entire family and all of Tenn.!!
You guys are getting settled.
Good job Sam,
Your neighbor in eastern Tennessee.
Stay strong!
I’m so happy things were minimal!!! Easy fixes..now get it like you want it..it’s the perfect time..
So glad it made it there safely.. I know you guys are going to really get it all set up the way you like it. Have a great day 😀
It is fabulous! The views are great and the damage minimal. Happy new home and land. 🥰🙏💕
Bet you guys are so relieved that it made it all in one piece! That is a smart idea to renovate any and all before your inspected, septic in and all that..so happy for you guys!
. You have made the interior lovely and the addition of porches and landscaping when you can will make this homestead beautiful.
Congrats on a successful move! You must be sooo relieved there is not much damage!
Love the views from all your windows! You plans all make sense and as it is nice weather now maybe it will seem a little less cramped in the camper while you work on the things you want in your home. I really like the idea of large covered porches to sit and appreciate the products of your labors!
WOW, Very different looking out the window's now to flater ground! Beautiful!
Take your time and do what you two do so well together... get things done.
I was so glad to see the move went well with the house in tact. Can't wait to see the finished product. God Bless yall 🙏🏾
Glad to see that your home made it in one piece. A few little minor cracks, but nothing you folks can't fix. . You really do have a new home when you can look outside your windows and see whole new views! Awesome!
Something we are contemplating is faux board and batten siding. It uses exterior grade plywood and batten strips.
We have 4 mobile homes that have been moved several times without any damage beyond some popped trim . I figured it would travel well.
So nice to see you both happy. You gotta love the "project creep".
Oh yes.. project creep!!! :)
So so happy for you guys. Still a ton of work but that much will be great content. God bless you guys.
Great video Sam and Angela
We put sliding doors in our kitchen about 7or 8 years ago and they were a great addition to our mobile home. We added a very large deck. It has actually become the main entrance that we use all the time.
Awesome to hear! We dream of the same!
So glad your home arrived with no major repair needed. God bless.
what a beautiful place! Very exciting!
These last few videos have been great on the moving of the trailer God bless you guys and stay safe over there
Just remember to vent your dryer to the outside when you under pin it. I’ve seen ppl use the cut ends of metal roofing for under pinning. You can normally get those pieces less than 3 ft real cheap. Or any with blemishes.
That's a great idea. Would you contact a roofing company for those end cuts?
@@darleneclark6098 there are places that make those roofing panels from rolls of flat metal. Taylor Metal is my closest place. Those are the best places.
Other places sell the 24 ft pieces of metal and cut to length for your job. Those are the second best places to buy the metal. Ex coop’s farm stores smaller building supply places. You can ask these ppl that install the metal roofing where they get their materials too. Even if you get the blemished sheets who cares first time someone weed eats near it it will get a few blemishes. But it will only scratch instead of knocking a hole in it like the vinyl.
@@gary-gilbert thanks for the tips😊
Those gaps in your MDF trim can be filled with Bondo then sanded smooth. Amazing how well Bondo works on MDF repairs.
We haven't thought much into that area yet. :) I'd like to raise some pastured poultry for meat, but not sure when that will happen.
Yahoo..... its good to know that some companies that move mobile homes are careful and cautious.
It was a pretty neat experience, like yours.
i have enjoyed you guys channel !! y’all are the second RUclips family to move to TN this year! Welcome to Tennessee!
Looks great! A few cosmetic video opportunities.
My husband and I love watching you RUclips channel! You guys are so sweet , and this move has been exiting.
We love the way you make the videos, and that you have the bloopers at the end😄 we just find your RUclips channel, and I think we have seen almost all videos you have on RUclips 😌😄best wishes from Norway
Glad there wasn’t anything serious and only superficial cracks and things that needs touch up. Can’t wait to see what’s in store and those views from the windows are great. Great work and thanks for taking us along take care
