Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala 2024 | Ft. Mogul 13268, 72 Fenchurch & more! | 18 & 20/4/24

- Today's video is of the Severn Valley Railway's (SVR) annual Spring Steam Gala! I filmed over the Thursday and Saturday, I wasn't available for the Friday or Sunday. The visiting locomotives were:
- LB&SCR A1 Class 'Terrier' 72 "Fenchurch"
- LH&JC 'Lambton Tank' 29
- GWR 1366 Class 'Pannier' 1369
Unfortunately due to having not been yet tested, new build GWR Grange Class 6880 "Betton Grange" was not in the gala lineup after weeks of speculation.
From the home fleet, we saw:
- LMS 'Stanier Mogul' 13268 (newly lined in LMS Black!)
- GWR Hall Class 4930 "Hagley Hall"
- BR Standard 4 Class 75069
- SR Rebuilt West Country Class 'Bulleid Pacifc' 21C127 "Taw Valley"
- GWR Manor Class 7812 "Erlestoke Manor"
- GWR 57xx Class 'Pannier' 7714
The SVR's very own Class 108 DMU was in operation but I didn't film that for obvious reasons. 7714 is also sadly not featured because it only operated Sunday.
Using the 125 busses and copious amounts of walking, I managed to cover all of these locations, and whilst filming I did have the occasional company of @blackcountrysteamvideos8021, @LiamsLocos, @MarshSteamVideosTM, @GreatBritishRailways1 and@danielstrainsukofficial9133. Overall the weather was excellent which led to some shots with very beautiful lighting! I hope you enjoy this compilation as I did.

That is it for 34027 Scott, they withdrew her after the Winter Gala but she was needed to fill some gaps at this gala left by 6880. Regards, Dan

3:38 the last time 1369 was here at the Severn valley railway was back in 2005 some 19 years ago back then it had a bell installed on its left side of the engine and now it’s not anymore thanks to thieves stolen it
