Hi! I also got into sdsu and cal poly. I’m from San Diego and I am struggling to decide if I want to leave to Cal Poly or choose SDSU and be happier as I would stay at home with family and have healthy home cooked meals while having financial stability. I was able to get full tuition covered by SDSU and two year rent free living on campus at Cal Poly, though I am hesitant on leaving. I struggle with comparison and looking for validation through getting accepted to schools based on ranking. But I have to work on not basing my worth/value or intellectual capacity off of acceptance rates or ability to get into a school. Kind of ranting here but I would be happy to hear back on where you decide to go :)
Hey Melanie! Congratulations on your acceptances! Both SDSU and Cal Poly are great schools! You seem to be a very bright and intelligent person so where ever you go, SDSU or Cal Poly would be lucky to have you. You’re not alone because I’m on the same boat. Right now, what’s helping me decide has been talking to family members, alumni (who have graduated from different colleges), and teachers/counselors. I’ve also watched many RUclips videos and even downloaded a pros and cons app (I highly suggest doing this because it helps A LOT). I’m a very indecisive person but what I’ve kept in mind is what’s the smartest decision and where do I see myself more? I wish you the best of luck with your decision!
