THERE *IS* A POINT TO THIS MV YALL. hyuna isn't just gyrating and humping the screen with no purpose. it shows her with braces, a backpack on, exploring her body and hormones, watching a couple on tv and practicing kissing. it's clearly a confident, quirky, "coming of age" mv. there is a bit of difference in interpretation between each person, but the idea is the same. personally, I see hyuna in this as two ppl. 1) an "awkward geeky school girl" going through puberty and liking a boy, she wears braces and glasses and is curious about her growth and her emotions. she checks her boobs, tries on different outfits, has in the bathroom pics of ideal bodies and the words low fat on the cabinet but is eating fries. (lol honestly how I feel about life rn XD). seems like she's worried about weight and image like most teens. then she's on a bed holding a teddy bear, and so on. I mean there's so many scenes that point to her as either a young adult or teen who is going through the motions. 2) and then her "alter ego" of sorts who wears vibrant colors and strong makeup and is powerful and sexy. instead of a frenchfry she has a cigarette, instead of being confused at how to kiss a boy she is dominating one, she knows and is sure of herself. and again, this is a little different for everyone who interprets it, but at the ending scene its almost like this was all a daydream and she was caught up in her own thoughts - with alter ego hyuna - and ended up ripping her pants.she wakes up then she just walks out, probably to school or whatever. either way its honestly such a cute and artistic mv. i wish more ppl would see that. Eventhough I am a fan of her effortlessly sexy concepts like Bebe, I can understand that songs like this shows as an artist what Hyuna want to say to the judgmental society where she or girls like me belong (sorry for bad English and a long comment, just showing my support to Hyuna)

But that doesn't give anybody any right to call an adult individual slut or other derogatory name just because she's sexy. I think that's why she's doing this over the top sexual gestures and make up to make fun out of those people who are insulting girls who doesn't fit in to the olden social norms. Actually she is protesting against them in a funny and sarcastic way.

But we can consider this a small step towards the change where a female artist can make at least a few girls think about their rights and embracing their sexuality. As you can see she depicts the internal struggle of a teenage girl in this mv. But the truth is that even grown up women also have these same struggles .
Oh yes, there will not be any drastic changes. This is a battle in the long run, it will take DECADES to start changing the mindset of society, but, as you said, what she is doing now will open doors in the future

I posted this in reply to someone's comment but I felt like I should post again to clarify to ppl. THERE *IS* A POINT TO THIS MV YALL. hyuna isn't just gyrating and humping the screen with no purpose. it shows her with braces, a backpack on, exploring her body and hormones, watching a couple on tv and practicing kissing. it's clearly a confident, quirky, "coming of age" mv. there is a bit of difference in interpretation between each person, but the idea is the same.
personally, I see hyuna in this as two ppl. 1) an "awkward geeky school girl" going through puberty and liking a boy, she wears braces and glasses and is curious about her growth and her emotions. she checks her boobs, tries on different outfits, has in the bathroom pics of ideal bodies and the words low fat on the cabinet but is eating fries. (lol honestly how I feel about life rn XD). seems like she's worried about weight and image like most teens. then she's on a bed holding a teddy bear, and so on. I mean there's so many scenes that point to her as either a young adult or teen who is going through the motions.
2) and then her "alter ego" of sorts who wears vibrant colors and strong makeup and is powerful and sexy. instead of a frenchfry she has a cigarette, instead of being confused at how to kiss a boy she is dominating one, she knows and is sure of herself.
and again, this is a little different for everyone who interprets it, but at the ending scene its almost like this was all a daydream and she was caught up in her own thoughts - with alter ego hyuna - and ended up ripping her pants.she wakes up then she just walks out, probably to school or whatever.
either way its honestly such a cute and artistic mv. i wish more ppl would see that. I think it shows a mature side of hyuna but can also be relatable to teens or ppl who struggle with feelings and identity. young ppl who are trying to figure out what to wear, how to feel, what is going on with their body, etc. it's lovable, fun, a bit quirky, and gives me total retro vibes. if you look past the sexy moves you honestly see more substance in the mv. the sets they filmed at are just so aesthetic and the colors in this are amazing. I heard this director was the same as DNA by bts and I'm not at all disappointed. like wow. amazing mv. and not to evem mention how good the song is. it's sexy but bubbly and fun and for sure twerk anthem of the century. real shame how everyone can't get past what's on the surface and appreciate this mv and song more.
