Thank you for the prompt reply. There's probably nothing more beautiful and fragile as Golden Trout. Perhaps that's why one has to travel some distance and put in the work to find them. After all, they live in air where the angels breath. Again, thanks and I/we look forward to your future posts.
I see a number of comments where people are asking where this is, mistaking it for a location somewhere on the west side of the Sierra. This camp is located on the east side of the Sierra. The route starts from U.S. 395 at the traffic light in Lone Pine, California on Whitney Portal Road. A number of miles west of the town, prior to reaching the toe of the slope of the Sierra a left turn onto the Horseshoe Meadows Road is made. Follow that paved road all the way to its end at the meadows. From there a trail of about 2 1/2 -3 miles provides access to the camp. Cottonwood Creek is the main water course of this area and it drains east into Owens Lake, at least it used to, most of the water goes into the L.A. Aqueduct now.
Cool video we did Cottonwood lakes last year for the first time, beautiful area and we got a few nice golden trout, worth the hike, but we made it a day hike, wish we woulda put more time in back there! Thumbs up!
Really enjoyed your video. The Fleet Foxes made it especially enjoyable for me. Thanks for taking the time to share it.
What's the name of the camp you guys stayed at? It looks so beautiful there.
the golden trout lakes are long hikes into the mountains here in Canada too.

Is this the road up to Kennedy Meadows? And then past the bridge over the South Fork of the Kern up to the Ranger Station @ Black Rock?
We took a road straight up the mountain from Lone Pine. I can't remember which exact road it was, but one of the only ones that goes straight up!
I've always wanted to visit Kennedy Meadows!
??? Who is the solo singer in the music you played?? It's perfect for your video.
