Very good hearted people! I never knew Croatia had such beautiful wild unexplored areas.

After the war, wild animals spread fast in this very unpopulated area (Lika).

Beautiful work by the Rewilding team working in the Velebit Mountains. Very inspirational! You can see the passion of the people working towards the goal of making this area a better place for both humans and wildlife. Keep up the good work and I hope to one day visit the rewilding area and maybe even contribute as a volunteer.

I am really excited about this :D
I am studying Biology and looking to work in the area of Nature Conservation and Rewilding after my studies. In May I will be travelling through Croatia, hopefully visiting the Velebit Mountains as well, I am sure this documentary will be really inspiring.

Very well done guys! Organizations like Rewilding Europe can act as a spearhead for nature conservation and show society and politics that peaceful coexistence with wildlife is possible, we just need to start doing something for it.

I love the documentaries, but I want to see an hour or two hours, going into detail about each Rewilding area, the plans for the future, current implementation and the changes seen! These short, artistic films are like teaser trailers. I always finish watching feeling like so much more could have been talked about!

Truly inspiring film. I'm hopeful that the UK will eventually wake up to the importance of re-introducing keystone species and apex predators if we want to achieve genuine landscape recovery.

Thanks for your rewilding support and great to hear that you liked it! We also hope that sharing positive stories and example like these, about wildlife comeback and coexistence, will inspire countries, organisations and other individuals across Europe to see the benefits of rewilding and support landscape recovery as well!

Nakon što smo stoljećima čuvali divljine Velebita i njegova prirodna bogatstva
sada se javio netko "pametan" da Velebit učini divljim. Svaka čast naivnima.

Perhaps the best way to intergrate hunting, and other human activity with rewilding might be to borrow the zone system. Rewilded cores and core corridors (zone 5) that would be free of hunting might be wrapped in a buffer zone (zone 4) where hunting would be pursued in a sustainable even benificial way.
