I recognize this is a lamp sold everywhere in Costco Canada.
Is there any way to lock the colour so they don’t change every time you flip the switch?
They actually don't change every time you flip the switch. They only change if you do it within 5 seconds of turning off the lights. There is no permanent way to lock the colour.

Is there a bulb to change? What happens when the light dies out?
There is no bulb. It comes with the led element. The light in theory should last up to 50000 hours. Once it stops working you can fix it but it won't be as simple as bulb replacement.
I'm having a problem putting it on the rim
Are these made of any metal or glass, or all plastic?
They are made of plastic.
at $10 per light at costco you can't go wrong!

Also, is the first setting white, or warm? I’m adding a second light to the same switch and I don’t want them opposite! 😂
