ABOUT QUANTUM LEAP:
It's been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project.
Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. At Ben's side throughout his leaps is Addison (Caitlin Bassett), a decorated Army veteran who appears in the form of a hologram only Ben can see and hear.
Herbert ""Magic"" Williams (Ernie Hudson) helms the highly confidential operation whose team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park) and Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee).
Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt write and executive produce. Don Bellisario, Deborah Pratt and Martin Gero executive produce. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces in association with I Have an Idea! Entertainment, Belisarius Productions and Quinn's House Productions.

there were times I had tears in my eye's watching the original.
If Ben can leap to 1692 and 1879, him leaping to 2051 is not too far out there.
Maybe in the future episodes, Ben maybe leap in the time of stone age (c. 1M BC), ancient period (between 5000 BC and 1 BC), the antiquity period (between 1 AD to 500 AD), middle ages (between 500 AD and 1500 AD) or even in the time of Christopher Colombus (year 1492). In S2E7, Ben leaps in the year 1692 and S1E5, leaps in 1879.
In the original series, Sam can leap to 1862 (The Leap Between The States - S5E20) and 1945 (The Leap Back - S4E1).

So _this_ is what Desire gets up to on their days off.
It is interesting that this series explores the concept the original one was intending had it continued, which was leaps into the future, where Ziggy doesn't have the benefit of historical record to see what will happen on a moment by moment basis. But remember Ziggy does have the ability to make highly accurate calculations based on incomplete data. Sam even says this on screen, in The Leap Back, to plant that seed. So the format of the show wasn't really going to change other than Ziggy making predictions instead of hindsight. It does suck that Sam never leapt home, nor that this series saved Sam and brought him home if only for a torch passing storyline before the show continues on it's own course. and of course now that Dean Stockwell is dead, we won't get that onscreen reunion we've all wanted either.
I love the original series and it always made ne laugh when on the very last episode it just said at the end that he didnt manage to leap home lol
@@annied1827Because he didn’t want to. The bartender said he can leap home whenever he wants. So he leapt back in time in saved Al’s marriage. Which meant Quantum Leap was never invented. Not many realize this. The reboot shouldn’t exist or at least mention Sam due to that fact.
Why did they change the race of the character
@@gregpettis1113I think it was to gain a bigger audience & there is nothing wrong with that.
@@tomthemantv6482 I bet if they changed a black colored person to white you'd have a problem with that.
This series is so good!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely epic episode!! I wish I had a photographic memory!
I love how Ben doesn't want future Ian to be alone ❤❤❤❤❤
Ian is my favourite character ❤❤
@@Grayvorn mine too. I'm always excited when he is in a scene
@@Tiekin515 absolutely. I love Ian so much that I am SO including them in my crossover fanfic!
@@Grayvorn awesome
I think Scott Bakula will come back in season 2 finale.
Is it possible Ben will leap into a year where Sam is? Kinda like a crossover maybe?
Love it ❤❤❤❤
I just binged the first season on paramount - i LOVE this show = I wish Scott Bakula would come back
Iirc he was always happy to be in any further series/reboots but the studio didn't ask him.
You mean Peacock. Paramount would never air this. It’s an NBC series.
when is sam
Need 3th season of leap quantum please 🤞🤞
The one thread that wasn't wrapped up was the apocalyptic future that Martinez came from. Ian said that PQL was the scapegoat of bad government policies. This tells me that the future that causes the apocalypse is still going to happen. Anyone else have any ideas on this?
Which episode is this? I don't remember seeing it.
First season finale
I thought the blinking light in the past thwy were wondering what it was i thought is it sam becket and where in the past he is stuck and hopefully his plan is to go bring him back to his correct timeline
Why did Martinez want to kill Addison. What was the reason. I never understood that. I have a thought but could be wrong
Because the future government convinced itself that Quantum Leap was responsible for the war so they sent Martinez to kill the leaper that restarted the project. Martinez realised along the way that for the project to truly be over the quantum accelerator must be destroyed
@@ender9145 okay I get it now. And Addison was supposed to be the leaper.
Thank you so much
@@Tiekin515 you're welcome
This would’ve pissed me off.
There was too much silence to justify running out of time to explain the purpose of the formula.
who's body did he leap into and how in the world did Ian recognize him so easily????.
Lo vedremo mai in Italia
It all began 128 years ago with the H.G. Wells novel "The Time Machine"
Assassins Creed makes sense because it's all a hologram used for research
Without such adequate explanation of virtual-experience, time-travel fiction makes no sense
The madness continues...
Oh, no!
The acting in this is absolutely dire.
Best sequel/reboot ever ❤️👤
It's not
it really isnt. this is a complete violation of the rules him being in the future.
I think it’s better than the original. Not being able to travel to the future was one of my biggest issues with the original show.
People who complains about jump into the future probably eat the same food that they like for their whole life. I mean it is good but borrrrring
@@NhatLinhNguyen82 or maybe they just think it doesn't make sense within the concept of this terrible remake of a classic television show.
This lacks the magic of the original.
Vi capitulo 18, final de temporada, y se me ocurre que si para la próxima temporada, en el primer capítulo en que esperan el regreso de Ben y si en lugar de eso, quien aparece de regreso es nuestro querido Doctor Beckett, Sam.
He would never return to this pile of garbage.
@@Jedi_Are_ScumIt’s not a pile of garbage at all.
I like this show

i'm seriously not believing ben has this difficult of a time staying in the future. tom stratton, tim fox, dr. ruth, etc, never had a problem with it. hell, jimmy lamotta even did it twice or maybe 3 times. not to mention almost all of ben's hosts.
The difference was that Ben was send far beyond the time period which allowed his possibile Leaps
in quantum leap its mentioned in the original show that you can only ever leap into points in the past within your lifetime. so in other words, you can leap into points in time that have already happened in points you were alive in but not points in time that haven’t happened yet. but this new show breaks all of those rules by making ben leap outside his own lifetime without a good explanation for how it happened like the original did with sam leaping into 1862 because at least then we got an explanation for how its possible. and also ben leaping into the future is a complete violation of the rules as you cant jump into the future since you have never experienced it before. you can only ever leap into points in time you have experienced before which is the reason why you can only leap into points within your lifetime in the past.
I believe they explained that ben took of the safety protocols before he started leaping therefore they could break the original rules. I thought the show was ok until mid season. Then they started to find their footing. Is this better than the original no, but I believe its a decent successor to it. And FYI, I legit started screaming at my TV at the very end to have sam beckett come out of the imaging chamber
@@BrianRosenbergMusican no, it isn’t safety protocols you litterly are incapable of leaping into the future.
This is a major plot point in the show. They explained it clearly; new code was added to the Quantum Accelerator that changed the rules of the leaping. Try watching it first, or actually paying attention, before you start sobbing.
gravity assisted jumps, using the mass and energy of celestial and quantum objects to accelerate and slingshot past previous limits.... someone hasnt been listening to Ian
@@grahamhickson4137 but if that was possible, don’t you think sam would have figured it out before he leaped? i mean sam has the iq of 267.
So Al is now Norman Bates dressed as his dead mum? Wow, this looks terrible 🤮
Watch it, they did a good job with honoring the original in the first series, and that's coming from someone was watched the original airing in the UK way back, who was immediately "oh hell no..." when I saw they were making another series.
If the acting wasn’t so corny and the sets weren’t bad. It could’ve been an ok show.
Quantum suck!
🔥Great show just please no more woke episodes‼️
The original show had just as many "woke" episodes for their time.
Woke version
This episode was total cringe. Did they purposely try and tank the series making this episode?
I watched the first episode and saw the transgender Doctor or whatever it was and turned it off. Thats crap.
Ruined it for me too.
That sucks you're missing out
As a kid I enjoyed the show... As an adult I turned it on and stopped watching once the show turned LGBT... Now an older man I realize even the older show was capable of confusing a young mind by softly introducing them into the idea of a man being inside of another body. If I were not Christian an Autistic this would have messed my head up. Tv is TV in reality you get whoop.
Same here. They screwed up Terminator with that woke garbage, Matrix, and Power Rangers.
this show sucks, the acting is like watching a b movie.Bring back Sam
Why didn't they bring Scott back
@@Hakeem990Scott Bakula said there wasn't enough for him to do on the show at this point to justify his return. But he might appear in Season 2.
