ABOUT QUANTUM LEAP:
It's been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project.
Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it. At Ben's side throughout his leaps is Addison (Caitlin Bassett), a decorated Army veteran who appears in the form of a hologram only Ben can see and hear.
Herbert ""Magic"" Williams (Ernie Hudson) helms the highly confidential operation whose team at headquarters includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park) and Jenn Chou (Nanrisa Lee).

This is clickbait; Tom did NOT fire Ian but he did say that someone had to be fired or voluntarily resign of which the latter did happen but I’m not gonna say which employee that was as you have to go watch the episode to find out
Ian can't be fired because that would be like "transphobic" or something like that. He brings too many "diversity points" to the team for that.

I've watched it and did see who left, and that was a total cop-out. Ian should have been fired for what he did (yes, HE) but of course since he apparently doesn't know what body parts he has, he's immune from any criticism of any kind. I guess even black actors have to take a back seat because they don't bring in as many inclusion points. It's really sad what TV has come to.

The person who irresponsibly used a black market chip that could have put very secure information at risk of hacking? He's the one who has one point? Yes that's a nice speech, but people have gone to jail for less. He has to be the one to go. There are plenty of coders out there who can figure out the "bring Ben home" code and aren't a security risk. As far as Tom, I don't blame him one bit if he never wanted to talk to Addison again. The way she strung him along was unacceptable and this was a lost "revenge moment" for Tom.
