In a press meet of Chitra ji a media person asked to chitra ji that what is your opinion about the malayalam composers choose shreya ghoshal more in malayalam films. Chitra ji replied that Shreya is very talented singer thats why she got good opportunities in malayalam films. After her reply another media person asked to her that why composers give more preference to shreya than regional singers. She replied that Regional singers are also very talented so music directors should also consider regional singers for their songs . After the press meet Chitra ji came back to her home the media reported and manipulated her statement in a badway that chitra ji said that Music directors give more importance and opportunities to Shreya than regional singers. Actually chitraji's statement was wrongly reported by medias for creating unnecessary controversy. After this incident chitra ji didn't give interview to medias for a long time and she was stay away from medias
